best way to store trim?

What do you guys think is the best way to store trim for future use? Don't have the cash to buy anything to make hash right now..

I've been saving mine in a large paper bag, just make sure it's totally dry before you put it in there and you should be good to go.

Get it nice and bone dry and then use mason or similar kinda jars. I've saved trim and shake material for more than three years that way--and it was still great.

As long as its dry enough any sort of air-tight container will do the trick. Good luck.

BTW, you probably have stuff around the house to make ISO hash (Isopropyl alchohol, coffee filter and glass or ceramic dish and a hair drier) Check out any one of the many threads on the topic...

I ground up my trim and have about 6 "fluid" ounces by volume not weight. It's like sand now. The trim was covered with resin when I pulverizes the trim. Can I still use it to make some hash using ISO? I think some of the finer plant parts will slip through my fine mesh coffee filter.

No reason why you can't, try using a paper one instead...

ive found curing the trim actually produces better bubble, after plant hung either trim and freeze trim, or as hanging take trim and freeze until ready to use....trichs are easily broken off plant, i have found TOO DRY will cause a lot more material that i dont want in my bags...

My bad Lift, beer and reading never went over well with me... Go ahead and make some iso if you don't have any means to some screens.

Today I sifted the pile crushed trim from 4 White Widow plants and was amazed at how much kief I ended up with. Right now both the kief and the remains are air drying in a drawer. Looking for a small glass vial to store it in, I have another 5 plant harvest out soon and will be adding to my stash. I don't know what to do with the bigger pile of spent plant material. Thinking about another sift. The smoke was greenish tasting, but potent. Hoping a little more drying will cure it. Most of the water has been removed.

If you have a decent amount, air dry it and crush it up while letting it continue to dry. Once you get it into a power, you can sift out plant material and save the crystals.

I used a vibrating pad that was down in the basement to sift. You could technically get away with a quiet electric razor. What I did was pour my crushed trim onto a paper plate. You should have a few handy. Then I placed the plate onto the vibrating pad pad holding on to the plate. As the crumbs were shaken the larger. denser pieces of plant migrated to the top of the pile and the THC settled to the bottom.

I turned off the pad and used my fingers to remove the top part of the pile off trimmings and continued working the until I was content that the vast majority of the plant material was removed. If your eyesight is good, you can see a color different between the leafy shake and the THC.

It was similar to panning for gold and dry washing where you grind up the ore and separating the rock from the mineral without using any liquids. It helps to keep the plate tilted a bit and rotating slightly so that the heavier material separates from the lighter material.

Sorry for the post this in a storage thread, but once you have a nice pile of sandy resin, you can store it in a vial.
