Bad dentist experince

I was at an emergency dentist like almost a year ago. I haven't visited the dentist in ages (since i was a kid) and didn't know what to expect, i was scared tho. I had a problem with a tooth..

Well i go and i wait 30 mins and then i go in. I tell him i am very afraid of dentist and that he should put me anesthesia. He says yeah yeah or some jibberish idk wtf and he proccedes to start operating.

It was one of the worst pains ever, i still have clearly in mind the moment he picked something on the root with that metal thing. Terrible.

Instead of pulling the tooth he made a filling, despite the bad condition of the tooth. I didn't have X-ray's with me so is this why he didn't dare to pull or what?

Prob is the filling now appears to be weak and the tooth has decayed a bit more and it looks like it's going to fall out soon. I'm fucking pissed at this point, i need to get it pulled then wait a month or so to put a fake one. I could have this fixed long time ago.

Well I've became a patient of some cool dentist and the next time i went to the dentist it was a different dude. I was so surprised, he put me anesthesia and all that shizzle and i didn't feel ANYTHING. I love this guy.

But yeah that 'emergency' dentist was pure garbage i wanted really to do something bad to him. When I was in pain and wouldn't let him operate he was like 'leave me working if you want me to help you' , FUCK OFF !!!! Where was the fucking anesthesia u prick.

I mean why would some dentists not work with anesthesia? My insurance was payed and all that..

I'm glad i've found a cool one that listens when i say him I DONT WANT PAIN.

Actually that experince made me so scared that i dont know if i want to go to an 'insurance' dentist ever again. The ones that you pay (private) actually listen to you and do what u tell them. It costs around 120e to get 3 fillings at the private dentists, i guess its cheap.

I hope I dont run into a situation like that. I can handle a lot of shit but dentist work is scum. After I had jaw surgery, any work involving my teeth fucks with me. I tend to be overly clean when it comes to my teeth, just to help avoid any visits.

I too have a terrible time with dentist's. About 11 years ago I was at the dentist for a filling and he gave me shot and after I left my wife was driving because I take valium to go! Anyway my jaw started hurting and got worse and worse to the point where I was almost uncontrollable. She drove me back to the dentist and I ran in where he was working on another patient and grabbed him and pointed to my jaw and said it won't open!!! Felt like I had been hit with a bat. From the shot I developed a condition called trismus or lockjaw for 6 weeks. So now I get lots of valium and gas to relax the old jaw muscle. I was really fucked with by some military dentists when I was a kid and I have always been a little shaky going to the dentist. I found one I like and actually go without nitrous but must have the valium!! Most of the times if you ask for one or 2 they will get you some. Anyway hope everyones plants are wonderful. My babies got moved back into their new vegging room. Nice and clean and white not red! Later....

Shit one time I went to get a tooth pulled..He uses the pliers as always to remove my tooth..So hes yakin n pullin on it n its hurtin..Then BAM he broke tooth in half, If I wasnt like 13 I would of got up and punched him in his shit. That was the worst pain ever and I really havent gon back to the dentist since..

As I said I found a really good one that cares about a person..

And i'm definitevly not a pussy, but that dude the emergency one was my nightmare come true, drilling without anesthesia. I think ill have the memory of that for all my life or something.

I have an appointment in a few days, thanks god i only have to pull one or two and no drilling. And that's a totally different dentist .not an emergency one.

I don't have anything against dentist, but some of them can be terrible..

Funny fact is, my father was a dentist, but he had a private clinic...

I think teeth is the worst bug of human genes, this shit should last forever.. I don't understand what people in the old times did, it had to be terrible, last time i've talked to my mum about it and she was like 'there was different food and my grandpa never had a problem with teeth'

So blah.. fuck dentists.

K2, a dentist should never drill without anesthesia, unless he has x-rayed the tooth beforehand and knows that the cavity that he is drilling is VERY superficial and will take him no more than 30 seconds of drilling to get rid of it... anything else requires anesthesia, if he does not provide it, he is just fucking with you, plain and simple.

I was just @ the dentist this monday. In n out in 5 mins. The doc said you got some good teeth on ya son, keep on brushing bro! And gone i was. They got high tech shit these days too, no man powered drills anymore, they got lasers n shit like that. Pick yer spots tho, i bet some dentists still are like they were in the 1930's. I go every two years or so. No worries.

You know the feeling that wears off after a few hours...well, six months later my tongue was still numb.

I'll take a few hours, or a few days of severe pain ANY TIME, over that experience again.

This thread proves to me that ICMAG is the best place on the internet. I'm cracking up over that dude with the VW missing from his grill. And the comment..."That's a dude...right?" LOL... My dentist? He's the best. He and I talk about movies and tv shows with dentists in them. We both laugh and yuck it up the whole time. We are all laughing so hard, I sometimes have to calm down his staff to get them serious enough to finish the procedures they're doing. Going to the dentist is like going to the comedy club. It's a blast.
