Can anybody help me out with guestimating seed production numbers with my auto flower

Hi all, I got a bunch of auto verity seeds a few weeks ago and they just became seedlings! What I've got in there right now is 1)feminized Big Buddah white dwarf, 2)Lowryder hindu kush and 3)Lowryder AK-47, about five of each. My question is this, I'd like to do this grow for seeds since they are so expensive and risky for me to buy. Can anyone give me a round about guess of how many seeds I could get from each female keeping in mind that they are just little autos? I just have never breed for seeds before and have no idea if it might be 5 or 5,000 seeds per female? Also, any recomendations on crossing any of those three strains, like what might make a cool cross ie: AK and the kush or the white dwarf and kush? Just any opinions would be cool! Thanks again for all the help you guys have given me!

These things are unbelievably fecund. I hand pollinated a few smaller stems. Stopped counting officially at 152 but, I've got close to 300 seeds now with more to discover.

From my Diary, referring only to this one stem...

"Pulled about 50 seeds so far (maybe half)"

WOW Freezer, so If I can figure out how to just pollinate one female from each of the strains I could have maybe 50+ seeds of each, that would be freakin awesome! If I could figure out how to keep the rest of the girls from getting pollenated I could maybe even have some nice seed free smoke too! Any opinions as to what I should cross with what? Thanks again for your help!

If you allow males to flower elsewhere, you can collect the pollen and apply it by hand. Some fellow here came up with cutting a stem off the male just before it popped and placing it in a glass of water over a clean sheet of glass. The water kept it alive and when they popped, all the pollen collected on the glass.

I used a tiny, pointed water-color brush and dry brushed a few stems. HOWEVER, there was a small amount of pollen drift. There were pockets of seed where I never went. To insure all seeds are of known parentage, you may want to keep gardens to a single male donor. Or, at least mark stems in some way: blue is daddy#1, red is daddy#2, and ignore all seeds from other stems.

No opinion on what you should cross.

Freezer you have a wealth of knowledge! I think I will do exactly what you said and just keep one male of whichever strain, leaning towards keeping a male kush but I've got a little while to decide and I'd like to see what people say in the poll. Thanks again for helping me out!

Weird... Im about to try some auto flowers myself for the 1st time and plant to pollinate. Keep me posted bro.

Will do, just Yesterday they started to show some very small pre-flowers at only a week and a half old! I'll let you know how it goes, which strains are you trying this time around?

Just LR2 im skeptical about actual height and production but i will see, my seeds will be in a week or 2. Im willing to bet they need more light then most because of all the work they try to do so early in life. Im going to go 24/0 from start to finish. Then depending on the outcome and the amount of seeds im going to gorilla grow all over the county. Like its cool.

hej everyone

exactly what Freezerboy said ... , just use one male or might end up with many seeds of uncertain parentage when more than 1 male of multiple strains are used !

you definately can use more than one male from the same strain , if they show the desired traits youre after in a " quasi " open pollination ...

i just read your first post again ... all strains listed as regular/ so they could give you male donor's are AF's , so all of the progeny produced should show AF traits from 25 - 50% , depending how many gen's were gone through stabilizing the AF trait ... :chin: i dunno im not the one to ask when it comes down to AF's .... :smoke:

maybe you can get a pack of Sensi Skunk which is cheap , easy to grow and reliable .... ?
