Bag of suck was great, brings me back to watching Tilt Mode: Man Down every day.

Lo-Def is a great watch. Canadian vid with local bro Kevin Lowry in an all-night part (they intentionally cut all his daytime footy). Video is nice and raw, just how I like it.

Just finished watching Krooked Kronichles. Not worth overlooking this one. Everything gonz is good. Plus an epic Van Wastell part before he died.

Damn, didn't know there were so many skaters here. Good shit. So what kinda deck you guys got when you're rocking the plank? Gotta love mini logo blanks, MAD POP for sure. 8 inchers for life.

Johnny - Been out of the loop for awhile myself so I know the vids I grew up with. I liked Emerica-This Is Skateboarding, Zero-Dying To Live and the video I already mentioned, Flip Really Sorry actually sucks but all the Flip skaters are good, Mystery put out a good video but I don't know how many are out now, and Girl-Yeah Right. I don't know if you've seen them or not but they're all at least 4 years old and they're the ones that most easily come to mind. If you can't tell, I skate street. I'm decent at vert but it just never gave me the satisfaction that street does.

Keep on grinding guys.

I was still kinda in the loop for those. Kirchart has a sick part in T.I.S same with Reynolds.

Really Sorry sucks? I was in that! J/K....

I'm a full blood street skater. Still can barely pump a bowl. Vert scares the shit out of me. They've got a full sized comp. vert ramp at the Vans park in Orlando. Just pumping on that thing is scary....i can't even get a rock on it. Too scared to hang up and fall to my death.

I roll a mini logo or whatever blank feels good if in poor, if I got cash I'm gonna ride an Element or similar feel board either a 7.88 or 8. I Usually ride Indy's and Spits with China Bones or Swiss.

Yeah man, Element puts out some pretty good boards. That and AWS, I like the DNA shape. But yeah, I like Featherlights but they don't last long at all. Bam had some decent decks but Bam was a straight up tool, just like Dyrdek. As far as trucks go, I roll with Ventures and Krux myself. Used to roll on Indy's but I've broken so many kingpins it's not even funny... I've had the same wheels for years, they're pretty small from having to work out flat spots using power slides. Kinda an oxymoron, right?

The first time I dropped into vert, I was stoked as hell that I just got a new job and I was like dude's check this, no helmet and first time. I missed the vert and fell straight down to the bowl and had a minor concussion. I woke up laughing my ass off...

But yeah dude, you cracked me up in that shit. That's "Sorry" though, Really Sorry is actually sorry, and I think they were for putting it out. For sure on the Reynolds part, love that dudes FS flips. Do mine just like him...

I've been skating for 6 years (I think..) and I've owned maybe... 1 or 2 pro boards, and I go through at least 1 or 2 decks a month when there's no snow. I've never seen much difference between the $55 pro deck and the $40 local shop decks. I always go with 8's though.

As for vert and street. I used to be all street, everyone here was. But then they built us an orgasmic cement park a few years back. Hate to say, but I now love to skate this park over anything else. Endless lines and flow. The speed you can utilize in a park environment is the peak of skateboarding for me. Street is fun and all, but I just want to go fast and barge front 5-0's across some coping.

I'd love to hit up fdr some day, it's great to see skaters come together and create something that epic after love park bit the bullet. Though I'm not sure if I'll ever find myself in philly.

well fdr was built way before love park was "destroyed" its actually still skateable just all the lines are not there because they put grass and the security is really tight. funny thing about fdr is the city actually gives the skaters alot of left over material from construction sites.

Anyone else here been keeping tabs on the battle at the berrics? I've only missed 2 on my bracket so far. I had Mikey Taylor over Fairfax and Malto over Donovan (turns out those buttery ass tricks worked for one round). In the next rounds I have MJ over Berra and Cao over Ellington. Anyone got brackets going?

haha, I used to think the same. I was all about 7.75 and sometimes under that just a year or 2 ago. But after I bought my first 8 I never turned back. My flip tricks especially have improved. Plus I'm more comfortable with my vert on an 8. Though that could also because I skate more vert than I used to.

I actually have some friends that swear by 8.25. Haha no dice for me though. That's getting to the point where you may as well attach a sail and hit the sea.

I hadn't done it for real but i've been paying attention. Only one that has surprised me was the Fairfax win. I figured Donovan was gonna get Malto with the doubleflips. I think that was the best comeback i've ever seen in a game of skate. I'm hyped on the MJ SB round. Should be this weekend hopefully. I don't think Berra has a chance, honestly. MJ is so good at flatground...We'll see.:dueling:

Oh yeah, I'm picking Ellington. Dude has ALWAYS been solid at flatground. He'll bring some crazy bigspins and weird shit...I see Cao like I do Malto. Sick young rippers, but they don't have the years in to really build a crazy bag, ya know?

So I got it: Koston vs. Ellington and Mike Mo vs. Marc Johnson

I think it will be Koston vs Mike Mo with Koston victorious, unless Mike has spent the last six month learning pressure flips, underflips, and all the other weird-ass 90's tricks.

I wish PJ wasn't in the same bracket as Koston, I'd of liked him on the other side to go against Mike Mo.

Haha yeah. I have Koston and Mo at the end, with Mo winning it all. Though who knows what will happen with that, Koston has a deep bag of weird tricks, but Mo is consistent with everything. I think first trick will be a big deal in that one.

I really could see PJ beating out Koston too though. But when I made up my bracket my reasoning is that PJ doesnt give a fuck, and probably wont make much effort to win it all (much like carroll and ellington). After PJ's last matchup though, it seems he's having more fun with it, so it could happen.

Hell yeah on the FDR... Haven't been there myself but would love to go someday, same with the Florida Vans park.

Hey Don, 8 inchers and thonks? Shit, I rock a 10... 7.5's flip way too easily and are just overall harder for me to skate street on. 8's give more of a margin for error but if you got style, who's tripping? I started out on 7.5's and gradually worked my way up. I had a friend that had a BL that was like a 9. That thing was a beast man... All the dude could really do is ollie with it but that's pretty much all the dude could do.

I used to tear it up in the winter but it don't agree with me all that much anymore. Getting hurt in the cold really sucks these days and I'm one of them youngings... Guess that's what I get for slowing down. That and all my friends had kids and suck now. It's like they don't know how they had them yet no condom and no pill? Idiots...

theres some pro guy thats tall as hell and old school but i cant remember his name anyways i wanna say he rides a 12 inch board i seen him on fuel ridin a contest on a 6'mini with extensions and what not. dude he took the biggest dang slams! but his grinds were ruthless and made me feel bad for the coping:laughing:

12 inch? Dude, that's just plain ridiculous. That's the point where the board is kickflipping you instead man... Board probably weighs more than me, just think of how heavy the trucks are gonna be...

So you guys ride slalom boards at all? I love bombing hills whether it's on a long board or regular board. I just love weaving in and out and basically carving while going faster than a cheetah man... Shit feels great.

Edit - Yeah the guy I knew with the 9 incher was a behemoth. I've actually seen him snap his tail off just ollieing over a sewer drain. Got a lot of laughs out of that one and dude ended up with massive swellbow...
