Med Club in Michigan

Hello everyone :tongue:

So now that Michigan is a med state I was wondering do you think at some point there will be Med stores/clubs that open where we can buy meds/clones/seeds like in California?

I could really see this happening in Ann Arbor, but I dont know...

it's passed into law in the detroit suburb of ferndale, mi that one organization could open a dispensary. hasn't happened yet.

Hey there im a grower from oregon, medical.Weve been thinking of heading out to michigan because of their new laws. Any info you could supply on what its like out there, Pot wise?

I would check out NORML's site for updates. From what i read the law was for qualified patients to grown their own indoor only with a max of 12 plants. There is currently no law in place to protect you from getting arrested but you would probably not get convicted. This was a problem in California before SB420. I wouldn't necessarily count on having clubs and the openness of California in Michigan. If it was going to happen anywhere it would be in A2.

I doubt we'll ever see dispenseries in Mi. myself .
M.C.C.C had approached the Ferndale city council about a home delivery program but the city council wouldn't vote on it , claimed it was too contriversail like they did w/ Med/ use in Ferndale . It wasn't about an actual dispensery . But I never saw anything on the ballot myself anyways .

People are actually getting there own personal "caregivers", there won't be any dispensaries here in Michigan. You guys should check out the mich med marijuana assoc. website. They have forums there and some cool people too, most of them are still a little scared/paranoid but who isn't, right? I live in Warren and I am going to be a registered caregiver so whats up?

Hey jenn, What's the 10% off coupon for, just stuff at harrys, or anywhere else? I live right by there but don't buy much from them. I get alot of coir and I get my vrmiculite there. They've got the huge bags for $18.

They're way over priced and don't seem to know too much about there own shit. They got 400 w mh bulbs for $75.00 and I go to home depot and get the EXACT SAME BULB for $28.00!! It's the same for there big CFL ballast that they want like $200.oo and I go to home depot and the EXACT SAME BALLAST is $ 40.00. I can almost see harrys from my house and still won't buy there shit!!

the only bad thing about being the first club to open is the fact that someone is going to test the law right away by raiding it, which really sucks ass!

Yep they're expensive .
All I buy there is pots and soil just like Jenn .

They've had ballasts that were 2 yrs outa warranty sent out and fixed free for me though , wern't even purchased there either .

And it's nice to have them close to home incase there's bulb , ballast failures and I've happened to run outa spares .

Jo . lol - I've seen them at the Mad. Hgts. and Troy Home Cheapo myself buying boxes of 4in. and 6in. inductor fans and tin to put on their own shelves .

another thumb down for harry's, though they were always polite to me unlike that shop on middlebelt, bunch of fucktards over there.

my recommendation is the internet or GrowCo in GR. it's actually cheaper to drive to the other side of the state sometimes. depends what you're getting.

so who's been to the THC foundation doctors office in southfield? how would your rate your experience?

I'm interested in applying for medical marijuana in Michigan because I believe it helps the pain associated with my TMJ which includes headaches, facial pain, pain in the jaw joints and muscles, and other problems.

Should I collect my medical history and attempt to apply? I don't have a primary doctor but I have a dental history of TMJ. I have no health insurance so I'm wondering which doctors I should be using.

Hey- I'm new to the forum here, so any info would be cool, but I'm under the impression that within the law we passed in Michigan there is in so many words, an anti-dispensary clause. Check the mmmcc website for a list of support groups to assist patients and caregivers. I wonder if anyone knows offhand about any TRULY compassionate docs in michigan? Thanks, Eddymich

Hey everybody eddymich is a rightious brother and I've known him personally for 20 years and he is really trying to get the ball rolling up there and get legal so if anybody can come out of the woodwork and help him out it in any way it would be greatly appreciated.He cannot recieve pms yet but if anybody wanted to reach him through pm'ing me that would be welcomed and then maybe he could connect with some other michigan med folks.thanks, Danknuggler
