100 watts per square ft is overkill youll get just as good of results with a 250w and it will be cheaper to run.

i would probably get just asgood results with a 250, with with a 400 i can hold it just a little higher and have great coverage on the entire grow space.

50W is minimum, 75W is good, 100W is optimal, those are the rules ive run.

Ok man if you can get it to work then go for it.I'm just a cheap old bastard and was trying to save you some cash.

yeah i understand dw, but im buying a 400w floodlight and remote balasting it, the 250W floodlight is like £9 cheaper, so i thought id go for the 400.

I think you will be fine. Hey, you might even be able to make your co2 with some yeast and water and suger. This method works well in smaller spaces and you can take full advantage of you W/sqf.

Other wise, you will be fine.

yeah i would definately think about it, but it would take a large tub to get enough co2, the fans gotta be pulling out the heat from a 400watter in 4sqft, so i dont think the co2 would be in there long.

Hey remember that your temps can be a little higher when ya got co2. I am not trying to talk you into using this method by any means. But it is food for thought, I did it this past summer beacuse I was having heat issues. Instead of jumping through hoops to bring the temps down, I simply added the co2. I definitely saw an impact on growth.

Wish ya luck dude.

yeah co2 would be brilliant, but id probably have to go for a proper controlled setup, and have a fan turnoff period in the dark and pump in the co2, i just couldnt spend all that money for it to be sucked straight through the filter lol.

ok so i found out the pots are 6" square and 8" deep, so theyre 1.4 gallon, so i can veg alittle longer than first exspected and hopefully pull an ounce a plant.
