Honestly man the Hindu Skunk is an all around amazing strain. It's easy to grow, yields huge, has amazing smell, taste, and bag appeal. And then the high is mind soaring, like a ridiculous no ceiling high, very intense.

Shiva has the 3 phenos rite? do you know which you received because Shiva can be a great smoke as well as the highly acclaimed hindu.

PhenoA Has higest yield of the phenos, potent, less tastey
PhenoB Fruity smell/taste great smoke, medium yielder (has a pinapple scent)
PhonoC Mix of above, so great smell, great smoke, medium high yeild

running the hindu now however and shes looking and smelling like a real winner to me:joint: over my Shiva pheno B

i am pretty sure they (blue sky) phased out the shiva skunk pheno A. i have run it before with good results.. excellent yield. taste/smell/effect left some thing to be desired. i am running the pheno B now and will compare my results when i flower. inho you cannot go wrong with the hindu. all around very good!

Raining? I dont see a cloud in the sky from up here, lol. This weather sure seems conducive to throwing some girls outdoors. BUT, the temptation could lead to sorrow when humidity and rain ruin your bud eventually. If you watch the weather like a hawk, and can move your plants to shelter, or move shelter to the plants, good luck! Give us a report! Look for a super hardy PM resistant strain.

I still dont understand why SoCal gets new cuts B4 Oakland/Norcal loyals. Just dont understand at all. Not to mention the price difference.

Maybe they will reward us with stellar specials and gear

PEACE

I've pulled late winter/early spring harvests for the past two years--both times I put my plants outside in late February/early March and harvested in May. The recent Bay weather HAS been tempting, but I looked at the extended forecast yesterday and there's likely to be a shit ton of rain next week...I'd hold off if I were you, Purpleman. See how things are a month from now.

Hey there, its420. In 2007, I grew Strawberry Cough for my first late winter run, and last year I grew Candy Shiva B. (I wish I'd chosen a better yielder, but it came out OK, and at zero electrical cost.) Light dep isn't necessary during the first run because the days are already naturally short--you're triggering flowering as soon as you put the plants outside. I do light dep from May through late July/early August, forcing bud when most people are vegging. Between the early spring harvest, forced summer flowers, and the usual fall harvest, you can pull at least three separate rotations, weather (thanks to global warming) and latitude permitting. I've done it at 37N.

As far as plant selection, anything reasonably fast and hardy should do the job. This year, if the weather permits, I'll probably do Hindu Skunk and Dream Goddess, both of which can be taken in under 60 days--and which I'm growing now, so I know I'll have clones later.

Alot of poeple complain about the PM, so it may not be the best spring (late
winter) choice, however, JTR is gonna be a great strain to run outdoors...

I am really excited for blueberry, i am growing out "headband" now and its a real
stretcher, perhaps more than the stretchy JTR i had my last few runs, maybe
Skunkwerks has a better pheno for my microgrow on the way!

I was just there on friday, they are definetly getting rid of Bubblegum, AK and shiva and the new strain guide will be out in april. I heard on this board they might be getting rid of the hindu, which is my favorite and they said NO WAY!!!!! So im stoked... Hindu outdoors is the shit never grown indoors but outside tuff to beat
