TrimPro trim & bubble bags / ice water extraction

I've read that the trim from the SpinPro's (metal salad bowl looking thing with rubber arms & crank handle) is near worthless for ice water extraction. Wondering if this also applies to TrimPro's or other machine trimmers. I would think it may apply some, but not as much as the SpinPro's that mangle the buds with those rubber arms and being rubbed all over the grate.

Any actual experience would be appreciated.

Just as a little pre-warning, because it happens every time: Please, no machine trimmer hating here on this thread especially if you have never owned one. If you don't like 'em, don't use 'em... and let the adults discuss.

badugi whats happeneing bro?
As you know I have a trim box. I use it about 1x per month, in fact.
The ice water extraction hash I have made with the trim as been pretty good.... I will ask the member I made hash with using my trim box to chime in, as he provided the bags and has more hash making experience than myself. I am sure he will be able to give you a better run down of the quality and what not... he was pretty stoked with what we collected though if I remember properly...

LETS HERE MORE!

Werd... I was getting ready to send you a PM actually. Thanks for the quick response!

I have a pretty strong feeling that the TrimPro will not mash up the clippings so much that it will render it useless for bubble bags (I can see how the SpinPro makes it useless, though)... but I also feel that there may be a compromise over scissor trimming, but don't know how much.

scissor trimmed thru bubblebags

scissor trimmed thru bubblebags

What up fellas, I saw the thread and coincidentaly I just happened to be extracting some concentrate with my trusty bubblebags. I've ran scissor-trimmed and trimbox-trimmed material thru here before and with both have had great results BUT normally the trimbox trim has more material in it then what I put in as scissor-trimmings so with that in mind one may have considerably better luck with material coming from strains that produce more trichs on the fan leaves. For example I have a J1 in my flower room that fan leaves are largely covered in trichs where as my C-99 witch is even 2-3 weeks ahead of the J1 dosent show nearly the amount of them but the buds themselves the C-99 is equally if nor more so engulfed in trichs.

This batch was from all Scissor-trimmed buds,

this is what was left in the158-mic bag after the process....

and here is the 74-mic bag.....

I have some 23-mic stuff on the way, its still draining from last night so I'll have to throw up some pics in a bit.

How about results from machine-trimmed trimmimgs?

I think with some help I may be able to make that happen in about 2 weeks, I'll keep you posted as I get more info.

In the mean time I'm trying to put up a pic of what I pulled out of the 23-mic bag scissor trimmings but IC just doesn't seem to be down with pics today.

trimpro trim works fine

trimpro trim works fine

i have made lots of batches of bubble with end product from a trimpro workstation and have seen various results. I have never acheived full melt hash with machine cuts though. My experience is that the first flush is more dirty and bubbles lots less than the second and third flushes... With scissor hash i just do 2 flushes and generally will throw the shake away and start with a new batch at that point, but it seems the fan leaves and excess plant material dilute the end product ultimatly when using trimpro hash... but you have to ask yourself what your goal with hashish is... do you want to smoke full melt hash? If so then keep your scissor trim seperate from your trimpro trim, realize that the trimpro trim still yields well in most cases and is often worth the time.

A side note, a medical user i know will only smoke full melt clear dome hash now... she smoked trimpro hash for years for her pain and said it made her go to sleep... then when she tried the fulll melt clear dome hash masde from scissor trim, she said it lessened the pain a lot more and she was still tired but not couchlocked.

either way tho, its stonier than the herb it came from ...
