Fullybaked: Ribbonstem is a weird condition where the stem widens and flattens like a tongue kinda. Flowers and side shoots grow out erratically and the shoot can split in two sometimes. Seems to be instead of a single apical group of cells (like a point) producing new shoot growth there is a line of them that form the growing tip of the meristem.

Only two plants that have done this have both been very vigorous thick stalked plants that were topped early on once.

Here is the durban where I first saw this. Notice how the bud looks like a long caterpillar and the one to the left background of it is normal and like a koosh.

lookin' good! keep an eye on those roots. You may want to raise your water level, and keep an elevated h202 levels until your roots whiten up. That pythium inhibits oxygen uptake, causing root rot.

double tupperware to insulate - remember, your rez will reach room temperature no matter what. you just don't want a solar heater!

It never reaches daytime room temp actually, The cool night time temps and large mass even out the difference. The temps have not gotten above 68 in 10 days ever and I have stopped needing to add ice jugs. Now that the average cold winter temps are back the air temp is 75 and never reaches 80 unless I shut the closet doors for hours. RH varies between 30 and 60 depending on how soon in lights on I open the doors.

If I used much more than a few drops of h2o2 it would cause a massive die off and that I think would be worse than any pathogens that are in there. There are way more good bacteria and fungi than bad in there, the roots are all healthy as heck but stained a bit by the floranova and kelp stuff.


Ohh and that root shot is not how the roots actually sit, that large mass is all in the water with the lid down and I added a gallon just after the pic because I noticed it was down.

Thanks mang, its def a weird occurrence but I seem to have beaten the odds getting two of them in under 10 indoor grows. I think the vigorous growth and fiming does it, but there must be other factors.

I have another computer but its a PITA to get pics off my cam on it because I don't have the cable (proprietary shit) and no card reader built into this comp.

The plant is still stretching and starting to suck up more than one gallon per day now. It is sucking up a ton of nutes too.

The thing is immense, I can't see it yielding poorly. It would be a decent outdoor plant indeed!

The tops are starting to go bud but still no flowers, I can tell they are starting to change though. I hope I don't have to attach the light higher, I've only got another foot of height before I need to re hang the chains from the ceiling another 2.5 ft up.

I found an old 3.2mp point and shoot cam with a non proprietary data link (my normal cam I usually just use the card reader but my laptop DC jack died and I am still getting around to fixing it).

So here is a pic, maybe you will see what I see in the lightening of the apical buds and the switch to flower production it signals.

They are still growing like a mofo and I may have to spend a while hooking the chains to the ceiling and not the coat rack lol!




Edit: Ohh and the different coloration of the leaves is from the difference between the HPS warm white and cool blue CFLs and the shitty old cam lol! Its all dark green save for the tips, especially the 3 near the hps so I raised it after a little burn on them and raised the fan.

100g will make me very happy, although I am shooting for more. I should try baking with trim for once, I never do that. I need to read up on how to make good eats and cannabutter etc.

dont you use your trim?

i always make ice-o-lator hasj from it, or i put it in a jar and shake the kif off it.

dont know about eating it tho, well ok maybe if it was flushed right n such.

using the kif or ice-o-lator in food is easy and fun. i just use some food oil or butter, and melt the kif on low heat. eating it makes me baked in a different way, more like body-stone maybe.

If I ever grow more outside than I currently do, I'll get/make an okief tumbler but I've never had enough to justify anything more than iso hash or even running the very resinous stuff through the bong lol.
