Anti-wilt spray for vegetative phase

Hi, it's my first post here, I'm from Spain so sorry for my poor english!

I have a question for you guys, I've a grow room with humidity problems (25% of relative humidity) and it can't be fixed using humidifiers (too long to explain why)... I'm thinking of using a wilt stop spray in the vegetative phase (concretely "ilt stop" from advanced nutrients)... It wouldn't hurt or cause problems to the plants isn't it?

Thanks and congratulations for your forum!!:joint:

Hi oi oi welcome and please do not apologise for your english, it is much better than many english peoples english ...

I am not sure what problems you are having or why ..... if you leave some water open in a tray near your fan you are likely to have the opposite problem, or at least enough extra humidity to fix your current one ?

If you cannot do this, and can't modify your environment, then one solution is to choose varieties to grow that do not freak out so bad in low humidity .. they are all different, some will survive pretty much anything, others are like premature babies, they need protecting from everything

Mucho suerte amigo

Thanks chaos catalunya! I've already tried an ultrasound humidifier (I think it works better than the water in front of the fan) but it does't make difference at all (maybe because of my two 600m3/h RVK extractors, but I'm forced to use them because of the lamps heat). And what do you think about the anti wilt sprays?

I don't think you need any wilt stop , wilt proof, or anything similar. You're already growing in hydro. I live in a very cold climate , in wintertime my relative humidity often drops into the 20's with no ill effects.
Marijuana is grown outdoors in summer in Mexican and American deserts where 25% would be unusually high.

i would not spray... i think it should be fine my friend! what type of problem were you experiencing for you too have to spray them?

and if the heats a problem you could try making a DIY Cool tube... (or buy one if your ballin) if your ventilation is stopping you from being able to control your environment you could just tweak it a little :joint:

but yeah try a different strain one that is from a dry country perhaps an afghan?
the Canadian troops have been bringing back some killer bud from afghan!
so i cant belive what it would be like if grown by some of this forums greats...:yoinks:
best of luck from Canada! check out my first grow if you get a chance.

I wouldn't spray anti wilt on a mother or plants in veg. Anti-wilt adds a wax like coating so the plant retains whatever moister it already conatins. But this also prevents the leaves from breathing fully as they should when in veg. It works for clones because you are trying to trap the water withing the plant. But not for extended periods. It will cause rotting and / or stem disease.

I used it one time.............but I never will again.

Low humidity isn't that big of a problem. In fact...........I would consider you lucky to have it. Its far easier to add humidity then it is to remove it.

Hola oi oi oi,

I could not put it any better than Pirate ... I would never spray anything like this on growing plants ... it might help some people with clones, but it will block the stomata and slow everything down.

Likewise, as blunted skyline says, maybe think about modifying your [excellent] exhaust fans to draw directly from the source of heat - the lamp - rather than from an already hot room.

I hope the mad winds have not also given you power cuts .. my babies had to go out in that crazy hurricane shit when the power went !

since clones can only absorb water through there leafs even then i don't think its a good idea... put the spray away :dueling:
