The male is fully rooted in soil now, I can see white root hairs growing down the side already. I should have a ton of seed if I want to make that many when the male busts his nuts.

The screwed up fans in the foreground are my fault I hurt them. Some of the lower fans have a tiny necrosis on the serrations but I think I fixed that.

The plant is fully grown into the space (2.5x2). I am going to change the rez soon I think as I have added back about 60%

Made a bubble cloner and took 3 cuts to stick in it. My first two cuts died so I have some in rockwool and some in bubbler.

Cut the light to 11:30 or dark time to hurry it up (hopefully), it was set at 12:30 before.

Looking good my friend........... I still have my 2 in veg.............Problem Im having now is I just realized that Im not gonna be able to grow them as large as I need as to get good lighting in bloom ( I am only running 2 lights and all the other plants have been grown in 5 gallon buckets) So I think I might have to move my 2 lil ladies into some 5 gallon buckets. I have to have might light pretty high for the other ladies in bloom. We shall see.

Till its about to drop pollen yea I am going to keep him in there. I'm surprised how well he adapted to soil so fast. I could keep him outside but it wouldn't be 12/12 so I don't know how well he would flower.

Stretch is still going on, I'm hoping it will stop and flower production will start soon! This is supposed to be a 65 day strain I think.

I read an issue of High Times. This artical was on the aswome breader REFEERMAN SEEDS (for BC) he would start the flowering process changing the light cycle to 12/12 in doors for a month or so, set them outside and they would continue to finish flowering. So go figure lol You should try it. Sill looking sweet!

Yea that makes sense, start them off then let the super intensity of the sun do the rest of the work. I am going to use cuts of this plant outside for sure (if I can get one to root lol), if I have to I'll re veg it and stick it outside and grow a big hedge.

Its way too cold here in the north east to do that now, too much snow and ice.

I'm hoping that when I harvest this in mid march It will provide me with enough smoke to last till harvest in sept/oct outside which I want to get at least a pound from for once (slack most years).

Seems one of my ladies doesn't like to root either

She'll get there eventually, it just takes some time and pampering. One had roots in a week and a half while the other took 2.5+ with some cuts not making it at all.

She smells awfully nice though.

Hi Deft,
I read about how you had some trouble with soil, and I really would love to see you have some knock out buds with the DWC. I've experienced many of the pitfalls and benefits of DWC and thought I could help out.

#1. get some reflective tape from hardware store and cover at least the lid, and sides of the rubbermaid. That black plastic will just absorb light and heat, heating up your root zone.

DWC is all about the roots, how are your roots looking? I saw that one pic, but that was a male, right?

The fish tank smell could be from the nutes you use.

more likely from pythium. that rubbermaid plastic LOOKS lightproof, it's not. cover it with the reflective metal duct tape. that stuff is awesome.

there's also a nice 4 mil black plastic you can use that works well if you have mylar to cover it. wrap it up like a present.

Yea I was meaning to do that with the aluminum tape but then the plant completly shaded the bucket so alls well for now. Next grow I will have two rubbermaids one inside the other to insulate against light and heat.

The root ball looks good, there is brown stuff on it but it does not mind it one bit.

I'll get a clone or 5, I have a lot of lower shoots to take from and I don't mind reveging a cut from a flowering plant.


Oh and that left shoot in the foreground is a ribboinstem. This will be my second time growing a ribbonstem.
