tips for going back from flower to veg.

Hey guys, Never done this before because every other grow ive ever done has been from bean to harvest and now im finally gonna start working more with cloning and mothers. So After planting a bunch of seeds and grwoing them out and putting them in flower i found one female i want to be the mother plant. it's been on 12/12 for about 10 days now, just enough to show some hairs. Im 100% sure its a female though so i put it back into the veg chamber. Is there anything special I should do or anything nute wise I might want to consider when switching it back? Its pretty hydrated right now so my plan was just to give it plain water with a couple drops of thrive alive b-1 green next watering and then go back to a regular veg feeding the week after that. Any tips??

sorry man you cant do that

That is the best way to make a plant hermi, once you start flower you are stuck with her

What you need to do is take clones of that plant

I have taken clones off of a plant 2.5 weeks into flower. They rooted normally, but they were still in a "flower" mindset and needed to be revegged.

If I were to take clones from a flowering plant, I would make sure to give the little cuts light 24/7 until the plants were 100% vegging normal. Expect to see retarded twisted looking single blade leaves... it will grow out of it eventually.

Light stress is the problem that you will have by taking the entire plant and putting it back in vegetative conditions after being in 12/12.

By 10 days, it's probably started the horomonal changes necessary to begin flowering. Doc Dog knows what's he's talking about when he says it'll be more likely to hermie at this stage. This is not to say that it will definitely happen, but the the chances are increased.

The recommended course of action is to take clones, and put those in veg.

You can take clones from the plant at any stage of flowering, even at harvest time.

For more information, I'd check out The Reveg Thread or you can see a clone taken at harvest and revegged, flowered and harvested here.

Good luck with her!

I just recently went through my first reveg and it is pretty easy, like Greyskull said. What I did was flower the plant out and then take my harvest making sure to leave a few nodes and then switch it back to 24/7, it took my mom about a month and a half to switch back and during that time it grew a couple flowering nodes and then eventually grew the retarded leaves after a week or two of retard leaves (only one non-extending node per branch) it started to produce healthy fan leaves and nodes quite vigorously. I used plain water no nutrients except cal-mag and watering maybe once a week.

once roots/new foliage established, remove reproductive appendages(fruits/flowers). will divert energy from traveling to high-demand reproductive organs+promote new growth.

may re-grow reproductive tissue(sex representation(s)). remove again.

remove pre-re-veg/flower(ed/ing) leaves that may have reproductive tissue expression traits, to stimulate non-sex expression vegetative new growth.
