My lumatek coord/fuse melted last night. If any of you who read this have one and it doesn't have the new reset button on top yours could burn your house down too...

Very lucky nothing happened I walked in around 4 am last night and low and behold the light that was supposed to be on was off and it smelled like burnt plastic......

Now I have to figure something out financially to buy a damn ballast again thank god I had one I ordered for my other tent...I plugged it in quickly. Its got a warranty but I don't have time to wait for a new light....

Funny you would say that cuz the tent was left open one night by my caretaker while I was on two week vacation and well you know one out of 12 plants hermid and it was the C-Plus and every plant in there (all of the plants I was going to keep as moms) are loaded upw ith female f2 seeds lol....They have the craziest tiger stripes on some of them extremely bold.

Damn, lucky man. Are you running digital ballasts or old school?

Digital Lumatek and apparently after reading extensivley this happened to a lot of other people and they still have not recalled their ballasts although the new lumatek I got the other day has a reset button on it above the fuse and my older one which was the 1st new version did not...If someones house burns down thats a serious lawsuit...

I am glad I still have a house to grow in but this was not in the damn financial equation nor was a full seeded tent...:wallbash:

Tough luck man!! Hope you get some killer seeds from accident..!

Yea, I will probably pop a few sometime and see what comes of them. I am hoping the newer lumatek doesn't burn up on this coming grow at least it was one that was already screwed up heh.

I'll do a small update with a picture later tonight the plants are looking really nice some are around alittle under 6 inches and looking good I believe I will throw them into flower on the 31st.

I mixed 50 gallons of my soil last night :yoinks: my back....

1 cu. ft Pro-Mix BX
1 cu. ft Pro-Mix HP (this kind just has more perlite basically)
2 cu. ft MiracleGrow Organic Choice for the garden
1 cup Bonemeal
1 cup Bloodmeal
1/2 cup Dolomite Lime
10-20% perlite

It's blazeoneup's, "just add water" soil recipe except he uses Pro-Mix for containers potting soil which just has some water retention crystals in it nothing else different and Kelp Meal. This mix is supposed to need only water the whole growth and you don't even need to ph the water...

In place of the Kelp Meal I will be using Alg-A-Mic by Biobizz which is a concentrated kelp extract basically...My hydro guy recomended it to me so we will see how it works out.

I am really excited to get these into the flowering chambers I have a feeling this is going to be a better show than my last...not one burnt plant is the goal.

P.S. the drizzles are reachin for the sky :nanana:

To be honest I don't think thats going to be possible until flowering. The shcnazz is supposed to smell like berry's and the the swiss bliss ive read has orange tangerine/tropical fruit smells...and I thought the schnazz was supposed to be stout indica buts its a solid indicia in the description but stretches so bad you might have to top it...

It may be hard to tell the difference heh. I am going to do an update tonight hopefully. I've been a little busy sorry.

^^^Looking forward to the update bro! My Schnazz#2 and Bubblicious had a bit of a set back due to some  Miracle grow perlite I think. It was the only type of perlite I could find around here...huge mistake I would have been better off with no perlite than with this chemically laced garbage. Finally was able to get some "clean" bulk perlite and lighten up a peat based mix. Got rid of the old mix and washed off the roots and got them into a healthier environment....Hopefully they pull through, but if not I still have 5 of each left and the mazar freebies to pop....Got my fingers crossed though!!!

Stay safe bro :joint:

If you ever have to use MG perlite again wash it 2-3 times really good in a strainer. Wash ti elt it dry, wash it, let it dry ......I had to use that stuff too and thats what the guys here told em to do and it worked.

I transplanted all 40 of the guys yesterday and they are in their tents looking great! I let them dry out once accidentally but so far other thana couple rootbound things are lookin good. I did how ever decide to let 8 veg longer under the light they were in the red cups and rootbound so probably 2-3 days on them before they get moved into the tent.

I don't have internet right now so I have to drive to use it....had to cut costs because of the ballast etc but if I can borrow the money I will have it back so sometime this week I will give you guys a neat update of all of them in the tent and another update in 2 weeks when I have have my male to female ratio.

Yeah I definitely should have washed that crap. They were looking real good until I gave them their first real drenching. I think that's what got the chem ferts released and burning my little ones. If they don't start looking better in a few days here I'm going to scrap them and start over with fresh beans and the fresh mix....Good luck with the internet, looking forward to the update.....

I got probs with my Schnazzles too..Got old soil in my closet that i used and got them all stunted(showed signs of way too high ph and some deficienses). I washed all the old soil out from the roots and put them in bit bigger containers. Getting better little by little.

Good luck guys!!

Me too! Welcome aboard!

I always try to grow strains that there aren't many reports on with descriptions that compliment my taste so hopefully this thread helps a few people out in their decision making.

Ok, I know I keep saying update...update...and then not updating  The 10th and 11th will be my update. 30~ of the plants will have been in flowering 9-10days.

I really want you guys to see how happy they are in the soil and I can't express how much easier and better only having to add tap water everyday and not even needing to pH it. This is so easy, as long as my yields end up on par with blaze's, I will not ever switch back to using ferts or even consider hydro. I spend 20 minutes max everyday in the garden now.

That gives me so much more time to just stare at them... so get ready for a flood of pics when the buds start pouring forth.
