Do you donate to drug reform organizations? I see a lot of people bitch about how the drug laws are in the USA. Do you do anything but bitch to change them?
can't say i have donated because i am too broke myself.... but i did have a happy moment in a museum.
i was at this museum, and this man walked up to me.
"excuse me?" said the professor-looking fellow.
"yea?" i asked wondering what i did wrong.
"is norml still around? they were just getting started when i was in high school" he asked
"yes they certainly are" i told him with a massive grin.
"good to see people are still fighting the good fight" he said... i thanked him and we were on our ways, it was really unexpected and made me so happy.
and i was wearing a norml sweatshirt, thats how the convo started.
I had to say no as I've never donated to an org. Not that I'm cheap, it just never occured to me to do it. Now that I'm thinking about it, I cannot remember having visited any reform sites.
Why didn't you bring this up a few months ago when I was flush?
I only ask because I haven't seen much activism going on around the forums, but I do see a lot of complaining going on. If people really do want something to change, we have to do more than vote on a .gov site and complain on forums.
We have to be in the public eye (attending rallies, donating time, money, etc.), if not you, help people that are; visit a local NORML, MMP, LEAP, NAPT, ACLU, etc. chapter, collect some info, talk to the people there.
Vote............Also try writing your congressional leaders. If congressional leaders get enough correspondence they can not ignore it. (This has been proven in the past)
