it would be useful to have a section designated for grow product reviews.

If it were adopted here it would prove very beneficial to those of us who want a convenient place to read about gear before we go and buy it.

so who's for it? admins i'm looking at you too

Seems like a very good idea
so far its much scattered info that is hard to find, but theres a lot of good info out there
it just needs to be in one place for the average grower to find easily

i love the reflector testing thread
just would be really nice if it also contained info on the more widespread open reflectors

also which ballast and bulbs are best
which gives best value for the buck etc

such things would be nice to have in one place so the growers can contribute, share information and pick the best product for the individual needs

I appreciate spending my dollars on quality hardware that's highly recommended by quality growers.

I don't know about anyone else but I've purchased enough crap to be very wary of what I buy these days.

As a new grower I absolutley think this is a great idea, infact I just posted a thread asking for user reviews on a certain HPS system, the search feature is good but when you need somthing very specific its a bit hard to find things. My vote goes to yes!

it would be very helpful for those looking to start out or change setups. also to review new products.

maybe a vendor review section too. some vendors should be avoided and it would be cool to get reviews about them before buying

I pm'ed dutchgrown, and she mentioned that they would look into it, but the only problem with this is that it could turn into spam city! I wonder how the real life consumer reports deals with this issue...? Anyone...?

Well, could make the forum where only members could post in it, if that is possible to do.

good initiative, i would definitely be interested as i know very little about indoors equipment...well except the basics. I'm always open for better way's and tools to help me achieve better results.

The do's and dont's, pro's and con's

Yes, this can be done. We have a new review module coming. We can post a sticky or a permalink to various types of review categories. Coming soon, I promise! :)

Thanks Shcrews for the suggestion.
and Thanks Skip for making it happen!
Should be a great section to the forums..i'll be watching

I agree, there should be a forum where we can review new-old products that help or not in the furtherment + or - of our cannabis growing!!! it would sure be nice to have a space where we could review and rate the products that many use on a day to day basicis. This would and could help others stear clear or purchase products that could help or hinder our efforts to get the most out of our grows!!! Excellent idea Shcrews ;)
It may save many fellow growers funds, headachs or sorrows, believe me I wish there was such an area 10-12 years ago!!!

Looks like Skip is allready on the ball after seeing this idea!!! Great idea! Sticky

Please list some review categories for me to set up.

Lighting, growroom controls, irrigation, fertilizers, pest control, etc...
