i have searched and searched for a direct replacement for hydroguard and can find nothing. bio cat is the closest but is only available in powder form. the company want me to put it in a bag in my res so it has a place to live. im not so sure that is a good idea ad this is going i my power growers and does not seem feasible.
is there are product someone has used with good success in a aeroponic cloning machine that worked exactly like hydroguard?
the replacement from a.g for hydroguard is going to be out in 2 months, they said that 2 months ago and 3 months before that. i have a little hydroguard left, it expires next month and is not working so good. i need something right away, im way behind on orders! :1help:

"Companion" by American Hydroponics is a great replacement.
It is more concentrated than Hydroguard.
More Bacillus subtilis bang for your buck.
Botanicare has discontinued Hydroguard in California.
Not sure about the rest of the U.S.

dongle69 - i see you endorse this product over and over as a replacement for hydroguard. but, it only has one kind of bascillus where hydroguard has 5 or 6. i dont think it will do the same thing, unless you have tried it in an aero machine already.......

I only endorse what I have experience with.
I've tried it in soil, coco, and aero.
Same results as Hydroguard, just less expensive to use.
Why don't you think it will work?

its not pending of agriculture re-approval. i talked to treg, who is the owner of a.g. he dosent want to spend the money to have is approved, hes going to bottle it under a different name and not list any ingredients so it dosent need to be approved by the department of agriculture.
also hydroguard is derived from several beneficial bacteria including bacillus subtilis, paenibacillus polymxa, bacillus circulans and bacillus amyloquefaciens. where as companion has only one bacteris, thats why i dont think it will work, dongle69.
i just dont want to try a new product that isnt comparable and lose the 660 clones that will be going in my machines.

I also talked to him about 3 months back.
Pending approval is what he told me.
I don't know how Bacillus subtilis would make you lose 660 clones?
You asked if there was a product that someone has used with good success in an aeroponic cloning machine that worked exactly like hydroguard.
I offered up a suggestion that thousands use with great success here in Humboldt County.
I was kind of expecting a "thank you" but I'm crazy like that.

What's up the dept of ag in cali?

I can't get premeire promix HP or BX with bs added but they can sell bales in other states with it added.

Now hydroguard!

My question is what the hell is cali so afraid of from this little harmless bacteria?

dongle69- please dont get me wrong, i appreciate your and anyone's advice. im just not sure if a product with a 1/4 of the active ingredients will work the same. but if you have tried it in cloning machines with the same results i will give you the benefit of the doubt.
today i will be talking to several companies to see if there is anything comparable, especially companion. i will even try a few of my friends stores in other states to see if it can be ordered to California.
what does the ex clone machine use? there is no mention anywhere on there site. thank all!
