September Finishing Strains for 44N

Thanks for the tips about putting a chill on new seeds. I'm new to making crosses so that advice comes just in time. I think I've got a solid plan for this year. Last season, everyone in my area pulled their crop early because of a rainy late sept/oct. As well as the hunting season that's already been mentioned. I think we're going to see more and more folks crossing autos into they're favorite strains.

All stuf with breeders brad Mighty Might is super outdoor stuff.

My Jamil Sayyida will finish before end september and is good mold resistant.

Great reply Mr.Stinky. Have you had good results with F1 auto crosses? That's exactly my plan for this year. Lowlife Auto AK47 crossed with my favorite mothers. I may even try to feminize them with silver and grow from seed only.
If it works it would solve the problems I've had before with "photo sensitive" August/September strains that would revegg as soon as I put the clones out.
These F1 crosses should shave off at least a few weeks in harvest times as well as yeilding a heck of a lot more than 1 foot tall straight autos.
By the way, Mandala #1 was great and done in early september (44N) but molded bad for me due the the rock hard buds. I'm doing it again but will apply green-cure anti-fungi spray.

i havent done them personally...living vicarously, ya know:joint: id skip the CS and just get GA...i did. i know it works. im not goofin around with questionable recipes hopin that i get it right...also, you have to start CS 2 weeks before flower. on an AF thats about from seed...and how will you know what ur sprayin? you have to spray at least 3 or 4 to be sure you got a female, then if you end up switching 3 of your females, you have to keep them from pollenating themselves with their own pollen, so you can pollenate them with anothers pollen... and i dont think i would want to smoke silver'd buds...probably fine, but no thanks  its just too sketchy for me. the GA is alot cheaper, and so much easier. 100ppm spray 2 times/day for 5 days. you can switch her anytime you want, so you know you have a good female making your pollen, and its just plant hormone...no metals, no gas masks or poisons...just tasty seed cases:woohoo:
since all my dieselryders shit the bed, i wont be doing any F1 auto crosses this year, but it was just for fun anyway  i would never breed with plants that weak anyway

Thanks Stinky! I just researched Gibberellic Acid and yeah, it looks a lot easier than colidial silver. I just ordered some and it's very cheap. Good luck to all you early harvesters.

Update: I tried this and it didn't work. I followed the dirrections and sprayed my female auto ak47 for weeks and no male flowers, the plant just got really stretchy and tall. I don't know what went wrong and others may find success with Gibberellic acid but I'll try colidial silver next time. Or better yet, I'll pick my favorite normal strain and give it an extra hour of light in it dark period to light stress it. Take those male flowers and pollinate an auto for f1 seeds.

no problem...if you got the 90% GA3, use the better 90% isopropl alcohol instead of the 70... far better results:2cents:

good link on that Gibberellic acid. seems inexpensive and easy to use.

i've been looking closely at these strains. trying to narrow it down a bit. going for a cheap price with a variety of appearance, scent, taste, highs. thinking this out loud, help me if you have some information to offer

Mandala Speed Queen 28us(10seeds) 55 days/September - mostly indica land race genetics from: Himachal Pradesh, North India - "One pheno has the delicious aroma of orange and citrus. The other mixes this freshness with a more pungent/skunky note."

Nirvana Durban 22(10) end of september - sativa - durban x dutch early skunk "sweet earthy flavour that has a hint of anise. Famous for its trippy up high"

BC Sweet Tooth 75(12) september - 90% indica - "heavy yields of dense sweet-tasting candy bud. An advancement of ST3."

Guerilla Greens Guerilla Gold #3 Early Gold x (Afghan x Mighty Mite) F6 - 50(12) early september - mostly indica - "tight, extremely resin coated nugs with a very dank sweet seasoning and acidic hash smell. It has a very powerful euphoric and psychedelic effect and relieves pain as well."

Lowlife Auto AK47
51(10) 70 days from seed - sativa indica autoflower - "Odor levels are quite high and a large quantity of flowering females can certainly produce quite an aroma! There are 2 distinct variations in aroma, one is somewhat spicy and the other is sweet but both types produce the same effect."

226us for 54 regular seeds + maybe 20-30 freebies. 30 germinated females to work with??

thinking about texada timewarp ibl, NGSC Timewarp hybrid mix, nirvana early misty, another durban, more GG, lowryder2??, KC 33, early c99 hybrids, sweet tooth #3, himalayan gold.

very true. i've seen them set up their tree stands and camp in the preceeding months. thing is there are soooo many bucks around here that they don't usually have to do much prep work or baiting. this season i caught an 8-point buck chewing on my crop.

my main concern with autos was that i couldn't clone them and potency. i see i was wrong. they stay in veg under 24h? i was looking at the auto ak47, from lowlife, which is 70 days from seed, maybe 60 after rooting? i could harvest all through august and september with that one. what do you think about this strain?

breeder description
Automatic AK47 Seeds per pack : 10 Type : Autoflowering, mostly sativa hybrid Height : 14 – 24 inches Harvest date : 10 weeks from seed Yield : 20 – 40g per plant Ideal light regime : 20/4 from seed to harvest Ideal pot size : 5 – 7litres Environment : Indoors/Outdoors Effect : Giggly/High/Mild Munchies

The new wave of autoflowering hybrids is finally here, and leading from the front is the Automatic AK47! Our first foray into the autoflowering world and still our favourite. Crossing the very best AK47 we could find with the autoflowering genes of Lowryder, we have produced a strain that is the perfect blend of the two. Everything that we loved about the AK47 has been left intact from its beautiful aroma and resin encrusted buds through to its unique bud structure and astonishing potency. The cross with Lowryder means that now it can be grown virtually anywhere. Balconies, patios, window boxes, indoors or outdoors, connoisseur grade marijuana is now attainable for every grower. Autoflowering strains flower in response to age rather than light cycle. Automatic AK47 will grow vegetatively for approximately 14 days then enter into a rapid, almost violent flowering period. For the next 56 days they will branch out profusely, throw out pistils in their thousands, calyxes will swell and a coating of resin glands will make the mature plant glisten as if dusted with fine diamonds. Odour levels are quite high and a large quantity of flowering females can certainly produce quite an aroma! There are 2 distinct variations in aroma, one is somewhat spicy and the other is sweet but both types produce the same effect. Previously, especially in the northern hemisphere, the average grower was limited to the strains one could grow successfully. Now with Automatic AK47 you can grow marijuana that before, many would have no chance of fully ripening under natural outdoor conditions. With a lifespan of a mere 70 days from seed to harvest it is not only possible to get an early harvest of high quality marijuana but multiple harvests per season. Indoors, a perpetual harvest has never been easier to maintain. The increased height compared to earlier autoflowering strains brings with it increased yield. Indoors under lights is the optimum growing environment for Automatic AK47, coupled with a light regime of 20/4 and adequate rootspace, yield can easily surpass 40g per plant but even outdoors with no supplemental lighting during summer, 30g per plant is very common. We believe that our Automatic AK47 is the most potent autoflowering hybrid available as well as the heaviest yielder.

i'm going to try the auto ak-47 outdoors this summer. Never grown out this lowrider X before but lowrider 2 was ok. Early wonder skunk is another great auto or mostly auto strain. Ive been growing this shit for years. done by the end of august or start of sept. some people claim that they're a little later and the solar warrior claims that they are earlier. I plant outside may 15. grows one HUGE cola. not kidding my biggest was almost 3 feet long. solid bud. excellent high. people love it. :) i've grown a couple bc bud depot strains before (bcbd Hashplant and Sweet God) the sweet god was pretty good. only one pheno i had would have actually finished by the end of sept. the rest of them were garbage unless you were growing them indoors??? i tried em in the bush at a higher elevation and a friend of mine had a couple of my clones in his back yard at a lower elevation and none of the later pheno's finished( and my buddy can grow in his back yard till the end of oct - mid nov on a good year. As far as the hashplant goes it is absolutley crap. a complete waste of time. i ordered sweet tooth and sweet god, they sent me hashplant instead of the sweet tooth, their mistake, i asked them to correct the mistake and they told me to send the hashplant seeds back first (all the way back to amsterdam, and I live in BC, and they're the BC BUD DEPOT, WTF). I figured they'd be at least a little appologetic and try to fix their mistake, but they weren't. I argued with who ever checks their e-mails for couple days but they weren't budging untill i sent their crappy hashplant seeds back. I hope some one from the BCBD reads this. Anyways... their hashplant was a sponge for spider mites, low yield, zero potency and was much like the sweet god in that only one pheno finished my mid sept. What a waste of 6 months of my life. i don't know if i'd ever order from them again. although i would like to get my hands on the black and the purps, but after that whole hashplant mistake and the fact that their strains didn't finish when they were suppost to either, it left a bitter taste in my mouth. If you are looking at getting mighty mite get it from the actually mighty mite seed co. the canadian bred seed co is crap. had some of their genetics a couple years ago and teh mighty mite must have been mis labled because it didn't finish till the end of oct in my back yard and their poison mighty mite was fucked from the start. only 3 of 10 beans popped, 1 was a female and it only grew 1.5 ft. tall. garbage. anyways. ews kicks ass

if you go to the green life seeds website they have a couple really nice looking durban crosses from next gen. I love jays strains, his grape god and grape skunk kick ass. a friend of mine grew next gen's avalon last summer and it finished by the end of sept at 50' N. I"ve heard bonkers is a great outdoor strain too.

Where is everyone getting these GGold seeds from? every post and thread seems to say go to unleash da green but when i go to that site and click past the opening page it doesn't even look like they have anything to do with the herb.?????????

I have 21 auto ak47's that are pollinated by a CS Reversed Auto AK female, I started spraying the female as soon as I identified the sex

-Germinated Seeds Planted November 4th, 2008 5:00 pm
- popped out of soil 2-3 days later November 6th/7th
- All Sexed by December 1st (25 Days from popped up from soil)
- CS Hermie full On December 7th (31 Days from popped up from soil)

now there like 81 days and seeds are still green some are done and probably alot more there I cant really tell.. it doesn't seem like 1 reversed plant was enough but Im not sure when they were pollinated and it takes 3-5 weeks for seeds to fully develop so im crossing my fingers I get a lot... I think its taking a little longer because there was a cold snap where they weren't growing and a ph problem and I dont think there getting enough CO2 from where im pulling air from but other than that everything seems to be coming along..but I think now a early regular strain crossed with an auto would be better unless you can start beginning of may or mid may or even earlier..

:woohoo:

The Sweet Tooth #3 will definitely mold outside if it's really humid and a main untopped cola..the central cola gets HUGE on most of them. It needs to be topped out into a bush with smaller buds to avoid this. The Swt #4 is the one that was improved upon & bred by Breeder Steve for much better mold resistance and crossed back to the SPG mother. Finishes around middle of Sept, some earlier/later..HUGE yields and potent. The #4 shows sex at around 3 - 4 weeks old from seed even under constant 24 hours of light and will even start full on auto-flowering if they get severely rootbound. They start flowering outdoors very early.

Growing at 44N lat

Growing at 44N lat

I grow at 42 N and mold and finishing time is always an issue.

Sagamartha Early Riser will finish in Mid Sept with good yield and excellent quality-pretty mold resistant. For autoflower quick finish, Dr. Greenthumb Iranian Short season is good-ends late July/August-low yield but super potent hashy indica. Manitoba posion and early sativa from Great White north will finish in Sept-but can be hit hard by mold.

Hey reddy 1

After "Strain of the year" and all of the hoopla, I grew Hashberry, sadu and Mandala 1 and wasn't impressed at all with any of the 3 and wont be growing anymore. Germination was good, growth rates oK but each strain had issues: low potency, harsh , average growth at best. Im not sure how "strain of the year" gets chosen but there's some flaws in the process if it allows a plant like hashberry to bubble to the top. Just my opinion.

The other day , (in cannabis Culture),i saw a blind comparison grow between Sensi's Durban and Dutch Passions Durban. These 2 companies claim their durban is unhybridized. The growers didnt know which plants where which. Every grower, (unknowingly)chose the DP strain for consistency and vigor and once the weed was cured and smoked, the unanimous vote,(again unknowingly), was Dutch Passions durban poison. It was also clear that sensi's version wasnt pure Durban as theirs turned out to have several pheno's.

For cheap, you cant beat the genetics you get from Kcbrains. The afghani, Kc33, a number of them also make good breeders.
