May the day be well, and the night be well. May the mid day hour bring happiness too. In every minute and every second, may the day and night be well. By the blessing of the triple gem, may all things be protected and safe. May all beings born in each of the four ways live in a land of purity. May all in the three realms be born upon Lotus thrones. May countless wandering souls realize the three virtuous positions of the Bodhisattva path. May all living beings, with grace and ease, fulfill the Bodhisattva stages. The countenance of the world honored one, like the full moon, or like the orb of the sun, shines with the light of clarity. A halo of wisdom spreads in every direction, enveloping all with love and compassion, joy and equanimity. Na-mo-Sha-kya-mu-na-ye-Bu-ddha-ya-mu-na-ye-Bu-ddha-ya

Well Said Babba!

Hey Desi, did you receive your Gohonzon yet? If not, I sincerely hope this year you finally make it happen!

Many people have received their Gohonzon as a result of this thread. This year our organization in the United States will work harder than ever for Justice and we be chanting to expel the NST priests from our Land of The Eternally Tranquil Light just as they have in Brazil. Where we enshrine The Gohonzon is The Land of Eternally Tranquil Light. I hope that if you are ready to take your connection with Gohonzon the next level it is very important that you start chanting where you live, even if you live outdoors in meager conditions. Gohonzon will protect you and never discriminate against you ever!

Our Buddhist group is NOT affiliated or associated with any sort of Priests or Temples because Nichiren Daishonin's Buddhism provides a direct way for all people (humankind) to tap into their innate Buddhahood (Buddha-nature). It is as simple as chanting (repeating the words) Nam-myoho-renge-kyo! so no capacity or level of reasoning is required to attain Buddhahood in this lifetime because it is open to everyone. If you are an elderly senior citizen or young child, you can chant Nam-myoho-renge-kyo! and realize your fullest potential!

If you do not have a Gohonzon feel free to ask questions and get sorted properly on this thread! Thank you so much!

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo!

The years pass. The times change. All that survives and transcends this inevitable process, that shines brighter with each new era, is the record of a great human spirit that has endured the unendurable and remained true to the very end to its deepest convictions.

Suffering and undergoing hardships for the sake of friends and for spreading the Law shows the sense of responsibility of a genuine leader and is the behavior of a bodhisattva. There is no suffering or hardship that a Bodhisattva of the Earth cannot surmount. So no matter what happens, I would like you to steadily advance one step at a time, always chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo with a vibrant voice.

It is certain that, even if there were an age when the sun rises in the west, or a time were to come when the moon emerges from the ground, the Buddha's words would never prove false. Judging from this, there cannot be the least doubt that your late father is now in the presence of Shakyamuni Buddha, the lord of teachings, and that you will receive great blessings in your present existence. How wonderful, how splendid!"

A complete lack of exertion or stress may seem desirable, but in fact it results in boredom and stagnation. It is essential that we keep making continuous efforts amid challenging circumstances, pushing forward with dynamic creativity and breaking through all obstacles. That is the way to develop new strength and achieve fresh growth, whether it be in the case of an individual or an organization.

In this lifetime, to demonstrate the power of faith in the Mystic Law to others some of you may have been born into poverty so that you could show actual proof by gaining secure and comfortable lives. Some of you may have been born with ill health so that you could show proof by growing strong and healthy. Irrespective of your situations, however, the light of faith in the depths of your beings will continue to shine on eternally with diamond-like brilliance.

Strengthen your resolve more than ever. Ice is made of water, but it is colder than water. Blue dye comes from indigo, but when something is repeatedly dyed in it, the color is better than that of the indigo plant. The Lotus Sutra remains the same, but if you repeatedly strengthen your resolve, your color will be better than that of others, and you will receive more blessings than they do.

WHOA THANKS A BUNCH WILSON! You are definitely in rhythm with us!

I had a great home visit yesterday by my MD Region Leader and it was incredible. I've averaged about 2 home visits a year from senior leaders and have been able to gauge the growth of my faith and the value of my practice using these visits by leaders as a time reference. I've learned that with my daimoku I can change the weather and cured my mother's cancer. I've chanted for financial security and a safer home situation and now I am chanting more than ever to protect those I introduce through my daimoku.

I made a big mistake with someone I helped get a Gohonzon. This person really wasn't ready to get a Gohonzon and I made the arrangements and paid the donation for the Gohonzon and 1 year World Tribune subscription so this person could not have any hindrances early on in his practice. He eventually stopped chanting moved around a bit and doesnt even know what the Gohonzon is called anymore. This was devastating to me and I've had to try my best to encourage this person to bring the Gohonzon back to either a member or the nearest community center since his Gohonzon is really my responsibility since I facilitated this connection. Please be aware that even if you feel you are making a great cause for kosen-rufu that you should give yourself time to "think before you act and never leave anything to chance" (President Toda's guidance). Even good intentions can pave our road to hell and as Bodhisattvas our mission to protect and help other attain the Buddha way is clear as can be.

I spoke about Thomas and Babba last night to my MD Region Leader and explained thanks to their initial efforts in my path to attain supreme enlightenment in this life I was able to unite with Gohonzon and change my fortune and become a hard working and busier (in a good way) individual! I've even been able to grow a plant here and there over the past three years and enjoy some good times with old friends as a super bonus. Once I make sure this Gohonzon I mentioned above is safe, I'll feel alot better. Til then I'll keep doing my best to practice correctly and support Gosho Study meetings and any big or monthly event as often as possible.

Protecting our Organization and The Members is something I take much pride in and appreciate each of you for supporting me with and working together with me to keep progressing in this. Let's keep it up for the rest of year!

Thank you for your time and all my best and warmest wishes!

Love,
MyohoDisco

Thanks for your kinds words and bold action. When we lighten the load for someone who embarks on the path of faith, with the best of intentions we may actually help weaken them. After all a well placed fan or two can make the stalks stronger and thicker. Living things thrive when moving through resistance.

And so it is with faith, too. Chanting diamoku with a sincere prospect can do more for us and them than trying to smooth out the way ahead.

Nothing can replace diamoku other than abundant diamoku.

I hope this helps.

Hello everyone ! Hope you all are doing well. I had such a great day. Got right onto the inauguration event this morning. Watched the presidents speech and really really enjoyed it. Quite a moving moment for many of us. Looked at the mrs and could see the tears beginning to flow ... didnt take long to be right with her. Was such a moving speech and Im so happy that the rest of the world can see us in a bit different light now. Really enjoyed a few words by the Rev Lowery.
" Lord, in the memory of all the saints who from their labors rest, and in the joy of a new beginning, we ask you to help us work for that day when black will not be asked to get in back, when brown can stick around ... when yellow will be mellow ... when the red man can get ahead, man; and when white will embrace what is right. That all those who do justice and love mercy say Amen".

Got quite a kick out of how the old boy said it . Is so great to see such a rainbow of people coming into power! Hope everyone realized what happened today and what an amazing day it was. Aretha sang "America" was very cool to have the "Queen of Soul " there.
Perhaps we can be a more peaceful nation now. I chant this is so.
Much love to each and everyone that comes through this thread.

Much human misery arises from people despairing over things that despair cannot help. We should not worry about things that no amount of worrying will resolve. The important thing is to build a golden palace of joy in our hearts that nothing can disturb—a state of life like a clear blue sky above the storm, an oasis in the desert, a fortress looking down on high waves.

We ordinary people can see neither our own eyelashes, which are so close, nor the heavens in the distance. Likewise, we do not see that the Buddha exists in our own hearts. -Nichiren

Humanity today lacks hope and vision for the future. It is for precisely this reason that the Bodhisattvas of the Earth have appeared. Without your presence, the future of humanity would be bleak and spiritual decline its destination. That is why you have been born in this age and are now playing an active role in society. This is the meaning of jiyu, or "emerging from the earth." Consequently, each of you will definitely become happy. Please be confident that you will lead lives overflowing with good fortune throughout the three existences of past, present and future.

I was laid off two years ago and that was the catalyst that helped me get back to school. When I called my father last night to tell him what happened, he is not Buddhist, he was happy for me because he reminded me how much I advanced last time this happened! I guess as we chanting grower's say:

DON'T BE AFRAID. DON'T BE DEFEAT. FAITH! VICTORY OF GOLD!

I joined Thomas, Babba, and Socal in the call for Mugi Wasshin and yes I will practice DoubtFree Faith even more than ever now! Also it is very mystic that I had a meeting scheduled tonight at my house the day after losing my job! I know it's a message from Gohonzon to get me to buckle down more than ever and pump out as much daimoku as possible!

The best is yet to come for all of us! Nam-myoho-renge-kyo!

A hundred years of practice in the land of Perfect Bliss cannot compare to the benefit gained from one day's practice in the impure world. Two thousand years of propagating Buddhism during the Former and Middle Days of the Law are inferior to an hour of propagation in the Latter Day of the Law. This is in no way because of Nichiren's wisdom, but simply because the time makes it so. In spring the blossoms open, in autumn the fruit appears. Summer is hot, winter is cold. The season makes it so, does it not?"

There is a saying that the earth upon which we fall is the same ground which enables us to push ourselves up again. There‚'s another which maintains that barley grows better after it has been trampled on. Human relationships are sometimes painful, but there is no such pain from which we cannot recover. It is up to us to decide to live a life free from self-doubt and despair in spite of our failures. Indeed, it is during our most humbling moments that we should show greatest poise and grace. Then the dignity of our lives will truly shine.

Ultimately, happiness rests on how you establish a solid sense of self or being. Happiness does not lie in outward appearances nor in vanity. It is a matter of what you feel inside; it is a deep resonance in your life. To be filled each day with a rewarding sense of exhilaration and purpose, a sense of tasks accomplished and deep fulfillment-people who feel this way are happy. Those who have this sense of satisfaction even if they are extremely busy are much happier than those who have time on their hands but feel empty inside.
