Which of my strains is best for dry sift?

I'm preparing for my first medical grow and I've had some genetics stocked away for a few months. I thought I knew which of them I was going to run first, but now I'm wondering if I shouldn't change it. Why? Because I'm considering using a considerable percentage of the harvest to make quality dry sift for my medical use.

So, here's the list:

GrowDoc- Bubble Dust
SBoutique freebie- Mazar-i-sharif
Nirvana- Blue Mystic
Mr. Nice- Spice
Flying Dutchman- The Pure

Which two would you suggest?

Use the Mazar, it was originally grown for hashish production and should make some excellent dry sift.

KGB47 has the right answer, very resinous :) You should make a tumbler ! than isproponly after tumbling ;) I'd recommend 110 micron...

The Mazar is the one that stood out to me as well. I don't know too much about it, but from what I've read it seems to fit the bill for good dry sift. The only problem is that I fear it'll be too Indica/couch-lock/stoney. Maybe I should do a good dry sift mix of both Mazar and something like Spice for a more even Sat/Ind blend?

Chamba

I like variety, it's nice to be able to have the choice of different strains to enjoy, so I'd choose an equal number of seeds from each packet and germinate them.

btw how many plants are you allowed to have?

Is this your first grow or first medical grow?

I'd love to grow those GN Mazar freebie seeds that are straight out of Afghanistan...but aren't they relatively untested?..if so, it might be a good idea to plant no more than 50% of any one strain, especially a strain without a few finished grows and smoke reports behind it.

Yes, this is my first medical grow and I am allowed to have 6 in veg and 6 in flower at any one time (both me and my lady are card carriers, so this is for both of us).

I totally agree with you on variety! I love having a handful of finished strains on hand to choose from. Not only is it more interesting, but it seems to really help my tolerance levels which benefits my medical condition. I have 7 different strains on hand right now, down from 11. Maybe one day all of it will be my own harvest!

In the end I decided to do 3 Pure's and 3 Spice's. I only have room for so many in my space and I also don't want to try and manage the quirks of too many different strains at once for my first grow.
