I had given up growing in the early 80's. After I was diagnosed with MS, I found the C13 group at overgrow. I saw the results Maliboo had with his C13 grow. Although I don't use a C13, I just use his grow methods and have had nothing but successful grows ever since!

I'm in the same boat as Abbie. I read the C13 thread daily and soaked up all I could. Now I use a Secret Jardin DR80 and love it.

Those Stardusts are looking very nice. What is their lineage again?

I guess it would be appropriate for me to post my setup.

Grow area: One half of a bedroom closet 2' X 4’ (approximately 60cm X 120cm) bedroom window provides ventilation. I use one small fan to blow on the seedlings to strengthen the stems and a regular pedestal fan to blow air out of the closet I leave the bedroom window open for ventilation. Grow room temps have hit 90 degrees, but the temps have dropped a good 10 degrees. I adjust the window to control the temps.

Light 250W HPS
Soil: Miracle Grow Potting Soil straight out of the bag, no amendments (I know I know, but it's always worked fine for me.)
Ferts: Pure Blend Pro Veg.

Wow, Stardust 13...I remember being a newbie to Mal's thread over on OG when he was giving that away to everyone. I saw him grow both the NL #5 and the G13xHashplant in his C13 setup. His detailed instructions were second to none.

Over in my thread on Rez's forum if you look closely at the pots I'm using, they are the exact same ones Mal bought at Home DePot. Green 6" hard plastic pots with a built-in tray. I bought everything exactly as he did right down to the pots! And now all I got left over are the pots, everything else I'm using is all new tent and equipment. But, I'll keep the pots in memory of Mal and the great thread he had over on OG. Ah, memories...

I still wonder what ever happened to Maiboo... it'd sure be nice if he were to pop in.

I think if I remember right, there was another guy on that thread, UnknownSeeds that used a C-13 modeled after Mal's. So many good memories of that thread. I sure wish there was a back-up of all that golden info. Those sure were the days, weren't they?

Maliboo got me into growing. I still run a C-13 and practice his style of clean setup growing, and keeping it simple.

Maliboo, if you're out there, I consider you my mentor when it comes to marijuana cultivation. You should come back if you see this. You are missed. Plus, I think there's some interesting things I could give YOU now!...

To anyone else from that era who remembers the thread, we should keep that sentiment alive here. I've found nothing compares to the OG days and the old C-13 thread. The extent to which others would help, etc. We should go back to that time...

If I remember correctly, 600W was the maximum used with good ventilation.

I don't remember anyone using a 1000W but I could be wrong.
