According to the official grodan instructions given the size of these girls, I should be watering about six times a day. In addition, there is supposed to be no watering when lights are off.

I'm not. It's on 24/7.

I've read of problems that can come from running 24/7 water such as root rot, overwatering, mold, other diseases, etc. We aren't seeing any signs of these.

I just fed it bushmaster for 36 hours because the veg growth was out of control, and soon they will get 36 hours of darkness and then flip to flower.

I'm curious what people's thoughts are on this and whether anyone sees any major issues with running 24/7.

I need to figure out is whether to continue with 24/7 or to switch to timed.

Never had problems running 24/7. But that was directly on hydroton. Feeding a 6" rockwool cube, that's a different story I think? But then again most of the "water roots" are probably below the rockwool now, and into the bucket... so I don't know.

Its looking real good headiez247.

As far as the watering goes, thats what experimenting is for. Next run, you can try something different. I personally wouldnt be thrilled about having the rockwool wet 24/7. I would like to see it dry out a bit. I also think letting the plants dry up a bit isnt bad as the roots tend to grow looking for more water, at least thats what I read. But you dont seem to have a problem with root growth.

Just leep an eye for root rot and any other problems.

In a few weeks, you'll be a busy boy

Why the 4/6" grodan cubes? They are expensive as fuck, just put the 1" cubes right on top of your hydroton or whatever you're using.

KINGKONG

Probably cause you can veg a bit longer in the 4/6s.

Nice set up bro...

How's that sound board working? I looked into them a little bit before and thought that type of stuff isn't what you want to stop the type of noise transmission that you're generating... perhaps I'm wrong.

It's good, but that's because I'm using it in addition to plywood, insulation, and sealing all cracks. Can't hear anything from outside.

wow! That is a nice garage! I used rtech insulation board to build rooms before. It is the $hit to maintain consistant room remps and block out ballast hum and fan noise. I'm running quantums right now in my DIY NFT thread. All I really hear is the inline fans. How do you like yours so far? Quiet and cool so far and they work well with my flip box too.
