Grew out a pack of Sweet Kush (Pine Tar Kush x Island Sweet Skunk) freebies from XYZ about a month ago. All three phenos stunk something terrible... a serious risk to handle the dried bud because the smell would seep into your clothes. Smelled like a dead skunk dipped in lemon pinesol... almost nauseating when broken up. Ended up keeping the milder smelling pheno.

LEMON G pheno (love potion#1). 1oz of the shit in a sealed bag, in a drawer, will make a 1,200 sqaure foot house reeeeeek on the first AND second floors.
As far as on the plant, i have never found a problem with odor with any strain, unless the plants are rubbed/moved/blown around. Or maybe ive just become immune to the stench.

It's really a unique smell, and extremely strong. Last night we picked up something from another hookup, he calls it Shrom (shraum?)... It has the same smell as walker, stinks up a room the same and everything...
I'm not sure it's Dutch Passion or not, I'm not even sure it's really Skywalker...
However, I am positive that no other dope I personally have tried, smells anywhere near as strong when smoked.
P.S. Are we talking about pre-smoke smell? Because I'm sure "Skywalker" isn't the stinkiest when un-smoked. Whenever it is smoked though, it's so strong.. It does stink when not burnt, just I personally can think or 2-3 other strains that stank more when just in a bag... Chemdog DD is one...
Anyways, the stuff we got last night has the same rotten sour lemon candy/pesticide smell... It almost has the same structure as the "sweet island skunk", but picked a little early (maybe up to a week early..). I would definitely say they might be the same genetics, just different growers. My friend thinks it's the same grower..
Oh yeah, I don't mean you can smell pesticide on the bud, well you can, but it's obviously not really pesticide.. it's just a super super complex funk. It's almost beyond "stank"... it's the funk... it burns the nostrils

It's an extremely strong lemon/pesticide smell. The "Sweet Island Skunk" definitely had the same type of smell, but without the chemical/pesticide smell... or not as much of it... My buddy is picking some up today, I'll bring the camera to snap a few shots... Hell, I'll most likely pick some up as well..
If this is the Shrom clone, as I'm now positive it is... I can tell you first hand why it's desired... Really wish the grower let it go a little longer... then again, I can't really complain, as it is very good, fun to break up (hard to stop pinching/smelling it)
Anyways... I'll get pics and try to get some to hold on to... I'll try to get a pic of the ash if I can remember, as it burns pure white

id like to have a good look at the PTK.....but i can emigine ISS is not as good as Cheese,,,maybe better in different ways " i have no experence with ISS"...or PTK for that matter

We always seem to add the "but in a good way" to smells that on any other day of the week, had they not been attached to reefer, we would avoid at any cost?
The first bud I personally tried, that made a nasty smell magically turn delicious was skunk, probably 8/9 years after I started smoking. Probably why I'm so "enchanted" by stinky bud now... skunk hooked me instantly, ever since I haven't passed up on a single chance to score some funk EngRick - Do you think it's possible that Cheese made it from the UK to the States? I bought an eighth that was composed of two buds. One was SourDxBlueberry(sativa) and the other was "Cheese". I had never heard of cheese until that point, but a friend who is pretty good at remembering strain info/crosses/parents etc had heard of it, but said it was a UK clone only. It looked like a light green skunky/sativa type bud, with few hairs if I remember correctly.. I can't really remember the smell, as I never really could associate it with anything. Another friend said it did smell like some type of cheese, but he's an easier sell.. He still thinks the Sweet Island Skunk and Shrom smell exactly the same.
They're similar no doubt, but the Shrom has a super strong chemical/mostly pesticide smell... And they smell almost the exact same when burned... which is his main argument :/ I actually probably couldn't tell the difference in smells when burned, if one room smoked out with one and another room smoked the other, they'd be way to close for me to call.
Anyways, the "cheese" was exceptional smoke, everyone who I talk to who smoked it (4 that I talk to, including my hookup and his brother lol) preferred the cheese, on the first day anyways
It was great bud no doubt, but we all underestimated what we had been told was "purple diesel", up until I got this bag, I have been trying to convince a friend to try to cross SourD and Blueberry, so once I actually tried the "purple diesel" and found out it was Blueberry Diesel, I was instantly all about the BB Diesel They were both great, I was just hooked on the BB Diesel because it had been my "imaginary strain"... I knew it would be a sick cross, and it was more than I imagined... So good I came back to ICMag and found my screenname and password just to PM rezdog to try this combination. Which, in all my years at Overgrow.com, I had never ever suggested anything, because who the hell am I to suggest anything to someone who's been growing as long as DJ Short or Rez? But..... SourD x BB is fuckin incredible

Anyways, think it's possible it could have been the real cheese? I might be inclined to think it could be, as it's the same grower who grows a lot of Diesel/SourD/Chemdog/other goodness... Maybe he really does have some incredible hookup? :S I just wish I bought more... My hookup sold all of both strains in one day :| I smoked my 8th in 1.5 days

Daywrecker (aka Headband Diesel, Diesel #1) is one of the first strains I ever smoked, and 13 years later it still remains the stinkiest I've encountered. A gram of this shit sitting in a drawer will over power your entire fucking house! Speaking of which, I do believe I shall indulge in the last of a recently acquired zip...always a nice treat when the wrecker comes around.
