Please read my full post, while one plant had initial hermies it is coming along well. I do not wish to fully dish Dutch Passion based on 3 fem seeds I had started, and vented some inital anger below. Please check back soon for results! I've have seen some damn good plants from their seed before.

I know to go with DJ, I know, just thought I'd give it a try, their hempstar still amazes me as one of the most underated strains, but this is about feminized flo. I also just give a fem strain a try now and then, I know, but all to date have been decent girls from other companies.

5 seeds arrived, one was about the size of a pin head. Three sprouted. Two were hermaphodites. One was a male.

Thats my report for Dutch Passion Feminized Flo. Do I need to say more? Ever feel really burned? Huge waste of time, figured I'd get at least 2 girls out of the deal in very worst case, hoped for mid grade and maybe lucky strike with the buds. Again, I got 3/5 popping, 2 hermies, 1 male. Great feminized product. Just fucking awesome. :cuss:

I grew the dp Flo outside in 2004 and have to say that I was pretty impressed with it, considering that I had limited space and could only grow a couple of plants.
It also finished outdoors in the northeast.
I remember there was an indica looking pheno that had a great happy, bubblegumish type of high.
I don't know if anything has changed with dutch passion, but have to say that I was very pleased with what they did with dj's Flo.

So your saying you paid $120 and got zip...........See man this is what Im talking about for me having never having ordered any seeds I am very cautious to say the least. Obviousley you have the issue with the law and on top of that you have to get your money there and then you get nothing. I might just have to stay with what I have...Yours is the second post Ive read lately about problems with seeds from seedbay.

Now lets assume that you are a pro with seeds (or even kinda familiar with them) I would assume that you had light, temps, and all the other variables up to par?

Obviousley I have seen lots of good grows from seeds ordered but I always wonder about the bad ones. 2 hermies and 1 male out of a fem pack of $120 seeds (correct me if Im wrong) I would be super upset.....

You guys DO realize we are still dealing with Mother Nature here...I realize it sucks BIG time to be out 120$ and nada to show for it, BUT, and this is a BIG BUT, you have to realize we are dealing with nature, and sometimes, or even alot of the times, ur gonna get screwed so to speak with some seeds!!!!Ive seen friends drop alot of money on top notch genes and end up with a bunch of males, or shitty germ rate or whatever!!!! Its bound to happen at least 25% of the time I figure....sometimes ur lucky and sometimes ur not...However, I too would be very pissed off, and would contact Gypsy and work it out with him!!! He is very kool and Im sure will send u new beaners...Peace

Nuff said!!

Hey I understand mother nature and all that but all Im saying is you go do a seedbank and pay more because you are wanting to get some females. Thats why you buy fem seeds.......right........I understand that this isnt a perfect science and thats why I figured they gave you more seeds.....that way if 80% were females and 50% of those were some nice genetics or if even 1 out of 10 was a bomb ass female I would be happy. Im only looking for one. So yeah I understand mother nature and all that.....and I hope this is a random occurance (again we dont know how he tryed to germ them ie....temps.....light.....medium....moisture.....temps.....light.....medium....moisture.........etc..........etc.......etc...

So who knows

I've been growing DP's Feminized Flo for about 6+ years now. I picked up the fem. Flo seeds from Marc Emery's old website, and I spent at that time $225.

When I germinated them, I ended up with two different phenotype females (one mostly Indica, the other mostly Sativa), and a few males. Later, I ended up not keeping the Indica pheno.

It took me a few cycles to nail down the specifics and to appreciate the potential which Flo had to offer. I've grown many other strains over the years, but I've kept Flo around because of the price I paid for her and because she's a unique plant.

i've been growing 10 yrs+ and often favour fem seeds for ease. i just ran some dp fem oasis and 3 out of 4 hermied. but i also have some dp fem blueberry going and although they're only 4 weeks into flower they look all female so far.

Hey Jim, sorry about your luck, that sucks. I did run some Flo from DP and had a very nice female outside. It had a very sativa high and was pretty potent. I recently ran a pack of DJ's flo and only had one female like five males and four hermies. I liked the female, but you can tell that DJ added the blueberry back in to the line because it was not as sativa, the DP version that I had was more potent than the DJ version, I know it is only one female on each side, but I think the DP is right up ther, must have just been the fact that they were Fem.

Thats terrible luck man. I'm sorry to hear it. I was looking forward to a smoke report, however i'm sure not nearly as much as you were looking forward to giving one.

Wish you the best of luck next time, brother.

DJ's Flo is an outstanding strain for a daytime smoke selection, imo.Very clear,up high....motivational....simple fantastic. Not a big yielder and bit finiky with nute levels but worth every effort.

Try again, but with DJ Short's version, you will not be disappointed.,

Like I said in the begginning, DP's hempstar has treated me as good as anything, and to me it isn't so much the money for seeds, it's the time and effort and space wasted.

I've kept one alive and moved it to friends male room. The one was 10 male flowers right off the bat, the next was 50/50 male female. The one still alive is mostly female, I've pulled the males off, and hope things progress into a full blown female. The male pods on this one as well haven't really looked full power, more like pollen free bananas. I'm gonna stick it out for a couple more weeks and post a bitchen picture of it.

Anytime I start seeds I usually veg till I can take two clones and flower immediately. Then if I like it grow it again. I put fatih in "feminized" and this was my mistake. I recommend to anyone going fem to still sex your plants for a gen then go for full flowering action. I have to say I still like the past experineces with DP. Hempstar rocked my world and Mazar was OK but finished real fast and yeilded good enough.

I know someone mentioned wasting money on seeds. I don't know what weed costs in your neighborhood but for price of an ounce of weed you can buy a lot of seed that in turn will grow many many many ounces, worth it.

I'll post again as it matures more, hopefully with better news.

Hope you at least get something to smoke out of this experience.

Your issues with hermies etc. are what has kept me from spending money on female seeds in the past. That said,I bit the bullet and started some of Paradise's White Berry. They are only available in fem,so I am giving them a go.They are just started week 4 in veg,and so far,all is well but I will keep a close eye on them once I begin flowering.

I am sorry to see that you are out $120 with nothing to show, but as somebody else in the thread pointed out, Gypsy seems like an understanding, compassionate guy and would try taking it up with him in the nicest way.
Also when I ran my dp Flo about 5 years back (I did so outside), and have to wonder if the natural environment helps give more consistant results with fem. seeds, as my attempt was first rate.

Lucy Diamond - The other feminized strain I tried was paradise's jacky white, all female and no hermies, gave me confidence.

I still hope this one pans out. After removal of just one more banana looks like the tops all flower. Will post at then end, hope she pans out.

I bought DP regular flo in the canaries and grew them in north america in 2003 and out of ten seeds I got like three no sprouts, three males, and four hermies. Man was I dissapointed. Seeds are definitely risky. I have to say that out of 12 strains I have grown from seed, two have been total crap. One was DP flo and the other was a Nirvana White Widow I bought from Dr. Chronic and all ten seeds were these jungle sativas that produced a hay smelling loose collection of flowering material that could never qualify as a bud. It produced no high whatsoever and tasted foul. Man did I waste my time with those 10 seeds. About a year of wasted time and hopes. The last four seeds from that WW I didn't even flower, I would just see the jungle sativa pheno and I would chop them down. At least they were all consistent: crappy.

hermies aslong as grown properly have still been some really dank bud. Ya should always stick to unfeminized as i know the silver nitrate or whatever increases hermie chances. Flo on the other hand is delicious when grown properly
