Since were talking about "Elite" bongs, what is the deal with Hurricane bongs, the pricetag alone puts me off but are they really that exceptional a draw? is the glass of such great quality they can justify the price?
I had Both roors, and illas. I had a roor lil sister 18.8 and a icemaster 18.8, got a illa small beaker 14 and i honestly can say i liked the way it hit much better. Roors feel good in the hand but the finish on both is truly excellent. An old friend owned a 14 dealers cup roor and it hit pretty damn good too. I currently have a no name bong from shiva das and i can say that a bong is what you make of it, if you are the type of person who is brand loyal youll find your not only strictly buying roors but strictly buying other brands as well, nothing wrong with that
who cares what bong you use..just pack it with nice ganja!

Ok i guess I have to wait till illadelph bongs are available in Europe...
To this Roor/ illadelph offtopic-thing: I live near the town where roor bongs were
produced. I made my first bong hits with Roor. I like them very much. But illadelph are real beauties. I think you can get high like a kite with both. And when you handle your bong with care, you shouln't have problems with broken ones :wink:

my thoughts exactly!!!! we dont' have roors or illadelph aroudn here... so there aint no stupid debates over a bong... the debate should be over the weed not the glass.. i mean shitty weed isn't gonna get you higher just cause your bong is more "elite"

Up until this year, I had never bought high $$ glass. Mr. Tony and I do agree that the high $$ glass is worth it. I am sure I would be very happy with a ROOR, but the blanket statement that ILLA is crap is over the top.

^^ i agree, i wanna elaborate on my earlier comment, i dont care whether the bong is brand name or not, or if it has a really nice ash catcher or a really amazing worked bowl, all i care about is that it hits really nicely. For example i hate acrylic or plastic anything smoking devices and i wouldnt hit one of those if i was on a deserted island and that was the ONLY way of getting high, id find another way. I think we can all agree glass is not just glass some take it way too serious, others are just spoiled not all of us have the funds or know someone who can purchase all of the "elite" gongs out there so we can make a educated review. My shiva das, double perk 14 hits incredible and im totally happy, had i got the same bong i have as a roor brand name or a PHX or a ILLAdelp i would have paid 4 or 5 X what i paid, so again a bong is what you make of it.

WOW...the good old tobacco master....my FIRST bong ever...whoa you just took me back like 14 yrs and im SOOO dating myself right now. I remember buying that thing and thinking to myself.... "this is the best bong EVER", i was obviously delusional and partially retarded then(but this illustrates my point, a bong is what you make of it). That TM as we called it too would make the smoke yellow from the vortex draw it would produce, if i knew then what i knew now he he.... I hit my shiva das 2 ft 14.4, double tree perk last night(loaded with keif and hash only) and WOOOOOOW....ICE in my bong with SUPER chilled water is the only way to smoke BHO/QWISO/BUBBLE HASH/KEIF ..if it wasnt such a pain to set up that bong id hit it like that every time...im still a huge spliff guy...

gettin an illadelph gold coil, for like half price...i think its definately worth it to see whats up. the glycerine coil sounds to be an excellent idea...

i wouldn't go that far...nobody besides JP himself has even come close to using liquid cooled condenser technology. roor needa step it up...
I prefer roor joints over illa, and I acually prefer roor US joints to roor DE. Not saying it's an overall more quality tube, but the joints themselves feel beefier.
Haven't seen 10% the number of illas as I have roors, but they have stepped up their quality over the years. Used to have sloppy welds and joints at odd angles. From what I've seen lately, they're now on par with roor.
And,, I love a good glass debate as much as the next guy, but I don't know what all this talk about giving a "better hit" is. I would put good money that I've hit as many different tubes as anyone in this thread (not trying to show off my big dick), but you put two tubes in front of me with indentical specs, doubt I'm gonna be able to distinguish between the two hits.
The determining factor for me is which is more of a pleasure to hit again and again. Roor joints never lock up on me, they feel beefy so I can focus on the hit and not worry about babying the tube, and for the most part they have fatty mouthpieces that are comfortable to hit. Will a $40 ADS get me just as high? Ya. Will I love hitting it time after time? Ehh..
That said, I always prefer glass that came from a local blower or a boutique shop that I know put some love into it.

its more than a gimmick... it's science, too bad our friends at roor didn't take more ideas from the lab with them before someone else figured out to do it. haters like you are the reason that illadelph dropped the 150 slit diffused triple glycerine coil piece
