Micro 28g aim

Hey everybody, was seeing if I could get some help on what to do. What would be the best route to go if I were to have one plant in flowering, and one vegging to yield around 28g every harvest? Would a CFL be able to yield me that much? I'm pretty new to the scene, but will certainly search and look around to get comfortably with it all, thanks if you can provide any input.

Yes, CFL's can easily accomplish this. I would do a CFL search and find someone with a similar setup. This will be your best bet, as you can learn from their mistakes.

Got done doing a little research, think I'm going to go with either a 105 or a 150 watt CFL for flowering and a basic little household CFL for vegging.

As for odor control I was considering going with a carbon scrubber, and a 4" in line fan, but I remembered ozone generators. I was looking at this unit,

it looks alright but I know nothing about odor control except that carbon scrubbers are pretty effective. I want absolutely NO odor coming from the micro grow box, would this be capable of taking out all odors? Is the ozone gen. dangerous to use? Would a vaportronic unit be a better bet? I'd rather not go with the carbon scrubber, it would take up more space and I want my micro grow box to be as silent as possible.

Thanks again.

Also, do plants smell when they are vegging, I'm thinking of having a two chambered grow cab with odor control in the flowering chamber.

you should just buy a 150hps or smaller and grow a stash so you only need to flower a few times a year, like in the winter, or give your extra away to people

some plants reek from the moment they show green bits, but veg smell is pretty common in my experience, depending on what I have vegging the smell can knock me over.

Back to odor control, would that ozone generator be able to eliminate ALL odors if I had lets say 3-4 plants max? Also, can you store seeds for periods of 6 months or more, or do they go bad?

Ok I actually want to aim for around 45g for each harvest, is that reasonable for a 150w CFL or should I go with a 150w HPS? I'm trying to keep the heat down as low as possible, I think I'll skip on the veg cab and just focus on flowering, I can just use the 45g while I'm waiting for the next harvest.

so 45 grams every 3 months is your aim and 3-4 plants per harvest?

11.25 grams to 15 grams per plant is all you are after.

Or are you thinking perpetual 1 plant at a time so you can get some smoke each month, or every other?

I'll aim for 45g each harvest probably 2 plants in a SCROG. I was thinking grow, harvest, smoke and wait until the next 45g harvest. As for the initial strain I'm looking at Black Indica from bcbuddepot.com.

I would be growing in soil, actually I'd probably use organic nutes.

I'm just concerned about the odor, I'd rather keep the cab quiet and run a ozone generator, my grow cab would only house 3-4 plants max, but i'd probably just grow 2. I just want no odor, I want it to be silent and smell fresh, so i figured a 40mg/hr ozone gen. would do the trick running it on cycles throughout the day. I read somewhere that ozone gens are pretty worthless without a carbon scrubber except on extremely small grows, I would think that what I'm trying to do is an extremely small grow compared to the avg. grower, but who knows. I just don't want to end up in jail, I just want to be happy! lol, peace

imo running an ozone generator for a small micro grow would be overkill. when I first started growing micro i looked for non smelly genetics you dont even need to bother building a scrubber :p

Not to mention that ozone can kill your plants. Don't use an ozone gen, especially in a small space.

Use a carbon scrubber.

Cfl's can get you 1-1.5 ounces per plant if you have enough light. I use 10-12 lights for 4 plants and come away with 4-6 ounces in 90 days.

On odor: Today I was sitting in my room and it was pretty odor free then suddenly there was an odor. I looked in my vegging cabinet and one of my lights had slipped and had landed on a plant. This odor was caused by stress. I removed the light and rehung the light more securely, tending to the baby and the odor went away. If your plants aren't too stressed, they may not smell at all.

a ozone gen is going create heat too
i think a 150hps from econolight and a diy carbon filter is what you want
and say away from bcbuddepot i heard alot of bad things about them and would go there unless i really had to. http://www.drchronic.com/ and http://www.seedboutique.com/ are good ones, you get freebies at seedbou and seedbay.com

I've decided to hold off on the growing, maybe take a break from tokin. If I do grow it'll be outdoors and try to get a little over a pound to last me the year, seems safer and less risky. Thx for all the help tho

So you think holding on to a pound is less dangerous than a micro grow? Not so my friend....Micro grow at least you can say it's for personal use if busted and maybe catch a break....you get busted with a pound and it's prison time bro.
