Sup all?
I use to have a Hydro Hut that was killing my plants due to the plastic involved in the construction.(the hut is gone) Now I want to install linoleum on the floor in my grow room. Has anyone heard anything about the same problems with this? I've heard it could but have no idea if its true.

Linoleum floors or not?

Thanks and Happy Holidays to ya !!

The room I use has linoleum floors. I have seen no ill affects to date, and my plants are lookin' pretty damn happy. On the other hand, I don't know exactly how the adhesives used would affect a setup around a NEW installation of flooring. Mine must be 30+ years old so....

Thanks Deviant.
I am gonna staple it down at the edges so glue won't be an issue.

I'm thinking about using Panda film instead just to be 100% sure. But thats a more temporary solution which I don't want.

Thanks again

Thanks JM420.
Yes I am handy and could install it myself. The only problem is my room was build out of a portion of a back room on a garage. I raised the floor with 2x4s and plywood and its a little bendable so the tiles would crack.

I am picking up a 100 foot roll of 6 mil Panda tomorrow. Gonna replace all the Mylar on the walls and lay some panda on the floors. I had the floors painted white but over the last 2 years it kind of got trashed, scuffed and worn.

Thanks again,

be carefull with "linoleum". modern types are usually vinyl and can cause exactly the same off gassing problems as seen with the hydro huts.

real linoleum is all natural and something I get twisted over when people call vinyl linoleum.

My dad just put vinyl in his house and I told him to get linoleum, he said it's all the same shit.

nah dad, it isn't, but you will be dead before it matters so fuck it.

older I get the more of an environment nazi I become.

You should be painting the walls white, not the floor :).

I painted the whole room white. Top bottom and walls. I painted the floors to get a sealant type finish on the bare plywood and to have a nice clean look.

Yesterday I picked up 100 feet of Panda. I gonna lay that down and place a clear plastic carpet protector on top for durability. I've had the Carpet protector in their for 2 years now, so I know it won't off-gass on me.

Anyway, I felt that the linoleum (OK----Vinyl) was to much of a risk.

I'll post photos of my nice new floor soon.
