I have as many of you noticed that we always get a better female to male ratio during winter. AM i just crazy or has anyone else noticed this. I can pick a seed out of my seed bag and plant it 100% Of all plants grown in the winter are female any thoughts on this ????????

Ya I cant explain it. I have noted I always get 90% females in winter. Summer is more of a 50/50. I hoped more people would join this discussion. I would like to understand whats going on.

position of the moon possibly? maybe it being farther away from the northern hemisphere has something to do with it. I really have no idea though.

in a book i read once a guy named Henk listed some factors that he observed over the process of growing, well, thousands of seeds.

temperature, humidity, available nutrition, light spectrum, available moisture....etc, all contribute their fair share. in a grow room the grower has the responsibility of providing the plants ideal to the best of his ability. however the grower himself has his own limiting factors...

the season effects everything. maybe you spend moretime inside looking at your plants, so they want to impress you...

be well.
