Looking good!

Have you tried taping a hose to a long stick to water the hard to reach ones? Connect the other end of the hose to a water tank that has a tap, prop it on a chair and water away....

Pandemic

It is day 32 of Flower and they are lovely. They are really neutral smelling so far.
All but one pheno are becoming frosted and a nice smell is just developing. I can't wait to smell some stink!

I am going about 5 days between watering with this volume of soil.
They are on auto-pilot right now. I do still look at them everyday but it's just a door open and a glance. This Sadhu is so hardy it's impossible to mess them up. I am kicking around the idea of stripping off the main fan leaves to get a little better airflow to the bottom bud sites. Right now I fell like the 1800ppm air is just skating over the tops.

I will bring the camera over tonight and post some pics when they get up. I will try and get better pics of those blunt pistils. Everything else I am growing has sharp pointed pistils and there is this one pheno of Sadhu that look like they are just snipped off.

Look for pics tonight!

Day 32

The line up:

Here are my three different pistils.

I trimmed all of the main stem fan leaves for better light penetration and circulation.

Same Pheno, The blunt pistil one.

Day 42

I think some of this purpling may be cause by lower temps.
Lights off was dipping into the low 60's and this came on pretty fast.
Day 42, what do you think? Last Sadhu didn't purple like this, but it was an all around different grow. These have received minimal nutrients...left overs.

This is the blunt pistil one. I love the color these turn, Saffron and gold.

Nice Update

Nice Update

Nice Pandemic...

I'm very glad to see your update. Everythings looks good. Now, the weight will start to come on.

I recommended your SOG style to a friend. He's itchin to try it out. I can't blame him. Its ultra efficient.

What I and many others have found with these Mandala crosses is that the plants have been extremely efficient at nutrient uptake. As a result, many have experienced yellowing of the fan leaves at a more accelerated pace than many other strains. I know its too late now. But maybe next time... You may want to hit them up with a little bit more "N" at the begining of 12/12.

In any event... those beautiful Sadhu's are packing on the weight for having had minimal nutrients. The purpling gives nice appeal.

I can't wait to see how the buds put on weights. But most of all... I hope you put out a nice smoke report.

Simply Awsome Pandemic.

First off any professional can at any time stand up and correct me if needed.
But this is MY two cents. I would not recomend this to ANYone. You ca grow and post. but here is my critisism!......
First in my limited experience... when two MJ TWO plants roots occupy the same space as one plant the yeild does not increase and the plants fight to be the tallest. AKA SReeettCHyy/ lower yeild. so personallyI would not want the plants roots coming into contact with each other/ also its more difficult to keep that tub properly hydrated There for the roots will be less uniform. And increase the allready high chance to have problems! when you do have a problem it effects ALOT more plants.
Secondly I Think the dual layered soil thing you have is ALSO a Tainwreck waiting to happen or is atleast less than Ideal. becuase The upper part is going to get Dry Fast, and the bottom will get increasingly wet and disease infected.
The plant only takes 65 days to harvest.... doing a low impact pot diameter upgrade at the beggining of flowering is a Much better and SAFER idea.
(KISS students!) Sheash Don't think I enjoyed that, it was painfull.
And I again correct me if im WRONG.

I've been following along but never commented. Really nice grow you have going here Pandemic. Happy New Years to you as well and I hope you have a bountiful harvest. From the looks of things that won't be a problem.

Wow, love those actiniaria like pistils!!! you can brand it anemone! :D

Nice and even colas. Can't wait for my next crop with just clones.

sublunacy: yield figures will tell... I'm on my first crop ever but the thing I've learnt is MJ is a very, very hard plant. Some hybrids may be more delicate, but landraces, and Sadhus in particular, are rock hard. I've culled plants, thrown them to a waste bag, closed it and check them 3-4 days later prior to dumping them, and they were still alive.

Pandemic

Day 49

The deficiency isn't too bad and it is being mildly treated. Some are more affected than others. Not wanting to dump too much in there this late in the game, I fed the 1/4 strength PBP (Bloom LK C-M) and I picked up some Molasses today. I just administered the first dose of the molasses and put them all back up. I am looking forward to seeing how they react to it.

In my girls molasses took about 2-3 days to notice.

It certainly look like some kind of def, mine have lots of yellow fan leaves but is homogeneus, and mainly on fan leaves, not on the bud leaves, whereas in yours is the reverse, fan leaves look green while bud leaves go from yellow to green.

Buds look great however, that purpling is wonderful!
