Ju Guys are all Crahzy!

I've had the worst luck getting roots to grow in the 'submerged' pot and the devil of a time "Raising it up" without exposing light leaks through the top of my lids.

I just use a tall cup and grow my damn clone in dirt. The roots reach the bottom of the cup in about 2-3 days.

Wash the dirt off with the tickle in the bucket of water method, replant into your medium WITH 2" of roots already hanging down and you're off and running.

When I use a bubble cloner I'll grow the roots just as long that way. Same thing.

Tips on DWC though:

Use a res thermometer! Heat is your enemy
Dissolved Oxygen is paramount (You're using bio-buckets so you _should_ be good)

Cups and/or lids are fixed and don't move. It's the waterline that gets adjusted. But, hey, if you've got a way to get roots, why change?

Truth in Advertising. I've been growing since the late '60s. Moved indoors with E&F in '93. This is my first year (4th grow) with DWC.

TDS and PPM, while nowhere near defined, are like Fahrenheit and feet. There's just no excuse for them in the 21st century. (Said the hypocrite who still measures in Fahrenheit and feet.)

Damn right, thank a lot justanother... that clears up a lot of the questions i had.

And yeah ive been reading through a the different things you have posting and have found quite a bit of useful info. Especially Scrog. I find that type of growing to be more than interesting and a hell of an idea. I think im gonna go with that type of grow since i only have 3 150watt security lights. Seems like the best way to make use out of low wattage.

So thanks a lot guys you all have been more than helpful.
