1 Piss per gallon

I've heard from an old grower that it is very beneficial to use one piss per gallon of water to the plants. . . Wondering if any one else does this, I would probably give it a shot other than all my stuff is in my room so I don't want fermenting piss water stinking it up. What do you guys and gals think?

That said, it works, seen some killler threads on the pros and cons of piss here and on OG (ahhh, I miss OG). Some great grow and shows using piss. I have in the "early years" (scoffs at oneself) used piss as I was and still am a cheep bastard.

Now, not to degragate piss as a fertilizer, afterall, guano is, well, is the shit and have no issues with its incorperation in to our hobby. And lets not forget worm castings.

However that knowledge of piss grown weed is unsettling when one begins to inhale.

I have instead paid the duckets for the "other" organic ferts.

You are stirring up a thread that is destined to turn from a piss fert thread to a pissing match...watch you'll see.

Tea work better. Piss has some basic components such as N.

Piss will work fine, actually pee has a lot of trace elements in it as well as N. Mix it 10 parts water to 1 part piss and yul be golden! lol Sorry couldn't resist. BC

piss works great. 1 piss per gallon actually works out to a little over 10 %, which is a good strength. fresh piss doesn't stink and it won't ferment while it's in the soil. (stale piss kept in a container DOES stink). if the plants are looking overfed, back off on the strength a bit. that's about all there is to it, but you can read more on the subject if you search 'urine'.

Chances are the nutes yer using prolly has some sorta urea in it for N. Pee! BC

ckt - when I used it, I tried different sources. Me, the wife, and the children all contributed, and there was no appreciable difference. To actually experiment with it, you'd need same strain and same donors over many crops, and I just wasn't that interested

Yeah, to do a controlled experiment with urine is nigh impossible. Especially when you figure in the biggest problem I had with urine - collection and storage. I found it worked best using the first "water" of the morning, and that wasn't too bad, no smell or anything.

But once you start needing more than you can provide, it gets very very smelly. And complicated. The looks I got from chasing my family around in the morning with a gallon milk jug... To be honest, I'm surprised I'm still married after that one

Doing a bit of research on it, I found that urine was indeed a well-known and used fertilizer in ancient times. The key was that it was usually a communal reservoir, away from the town, that had LOTS of flowers planted around it. There is a reason for that
