What's new

east islands purple skunk x dutch treat

we first grew this stanky strain for an outdoor crop in 2005 and were so impressed we bought more for an indoor run. this stalky skunk packs on lots of rez in a short flowering period. at $50 a pack these seeds are a bargain so don't judge her on the price. we had a low germination with them this time so i suspect that the stock is old. we bought these from legends and i know that seedbay, hempdepot and hidden jungle also carry them.

purple pheno

pink pheno

very early, sept 5 - 15th. less mold worries for me.

glad to see another grower of this hidden gem. I also bought 2 packs yesterday of the dutch treat since most of east island seeds are crossed with it. The aroma on the dutch treat is very citrus/grapefruit like, very pungent. A lot of people that tried the purple skunk x dutch treat years back said it was the best they have ever smoked, I can't disagree!

i also have a pack of the DT x HP.i cant wait for seedbay to get the brenda's skunk x NL cross too...

peace,HC

I'm almost done with some brenda's skunk x nl and I would not recommend them. They tend to hermie and there's too much variation. some of the buds are airy and the the rez production is lacking. Ive tried the dutch treat x nl and it was similar to the purple skunk but more purple with a berry aroma. I'm interested in the hash plant cross though.

this photo from the hempdepot homepage is labeled brenda's skunk but i think it's actually the purple. the description even calls for pink hairs late in flowering.

this photo is from the legends site and it's also labeled brenda's skunk. not one of my brenda's look anything like her.

SteelCitySensi- I am from the UK looking for strains that will finish here outdoors, the PS x Dutch Treat sounds like a possible candidate.I have a few questions if you dont mind:

How does PSxDT yield indoors?
What time date did the dutch treat x nl finish outdoors?
Do you know of any other decent early finishers?

Peace

Hey SteelCitySensi,

Like you and Hashplant, I found their seeds to be a bargain at the price. I had a very different experience with the Bsxnl than you did, however, I grew it outdoors. I didn't have a single hermie but i did have some sticky, stinky buds at the end of JULY!!! from the auto pheno. Minty and potent. I was so impressed I ordered more. I also grew out the DTXHP. Deer ate all but one plant, but it was very branchy and a decent yeilder. Of the 3, I feel the psXdt is the most potent, but the others are really very good

About the pic on HD, those pink hairs, (and the resin glands!) were on my BSxNL

Hey, Steelcitysensi I was more then pleased with east island dutch treat x northern lights and kept two phenotypes around for next year. One is a huge yeilder the other is close behind it with nice pink hairs growing during flowering.I did some inbreading and will be doing some backcrosses ones I find the males I'm looking for, I'm looking for another early ripener to cross it with to.

glad to see this thread made it past one page. we were thinking about grabbin some purple skunk for the summer. we first tried em outdoors in 2005 and they did pretty well. i cant remember the yield but it wasnt too shabby. they were from seed and this year we plan to put clones out. i figure we will go with the heaviest pheno. when it comes to quality they have all been winners. they did have some mold issues but nothing you cant keep under control. i remember seeing some outdoor pics in someones gallery once but i cant seem to find em. lets keep this alive!
