Exhausting to another room?

I was thinking about exhausting the air from my grow room to another room of the house but a friend warned that the high humidity will cause mold. I'm using a 10" duct so venting it through the dryer or sewer is not possible. I can vent it to the attic but will only do so as a last resort.
Will a dehumidifier help in this situation?
His warning got me wondering if there are any other risks or unforeseen problems with ventilating air from your grow room to another room?

I'd think if the grow room were so humid it could pollute another room, you'd be seeing mold in the grow by now.

How big a room? How many plants? What RH are we talking about both inside the grow and outside?

The higher the humidity, the higher the probability of mold. If your grow has any size to it at all, I would think a dehumidifier would be mandatory. But, adequate circulation in the room your exhausting to, might just do the trick. I suggest a dry run (pardon the pun) and see just how high the humidity levels go before plunking down a chunk of money for a dehumidifier. If rH doesn't go above 40%, I would think it would be ok. However, all this is easy for me to say, as I'm only growing 4 plants in soil in a 2'X4'X8' closet. Exhaust is vented into the basement and closet rH levels are about 40-50% just after watering, but, return to ambient levels (20-25%) after the surface dries out. Not high enough rH levels for long enough for me to invest in a dehumidifier. I would have rather exhausted into the attic (and was for a time) but the high heating and A/C bills were killing me.

Namaste, mess

I exhaust into my house why lose the heat .Freezerboy said it well it yer rooms that humid your mold problem will be in there .The air from my room is pulled through scrubber and pushed past 2 k and with the it pulling from scrubbed and pushing on lights theres 0 odor if filters are ok I get bout 12 months before i can smell dank in the exhaust then its time to change carbon .I'd be more worried bout odor than humidity

Reasoning? I'm pretty unfamiliar with this territory.[/QUOTE]
Grow room is in the basement, exhausting to the attic would mean I'd have to cut holes through the floors. It's a 10" exhaust, it's too big to vent it through the dryer or sewer, the vent in the washroom leads to no where.

It's 10x18, 8x1000W about 54 plants. With the exhaust on, RH will be at 55% inside the room and 35% outside. I already have a dehumidifier and usually turns it on during the last 3 weeks of flowering to keep the humidity at 40%.

I dont see a humidity problem anywhere from those numbers I would blow that air into my living room,I do .The air coming from my grow room is cleanest in house

Maybe I've spent too many years back east and in the tropics. 55% sounds rather pleasant to me.

Actually stupid me got the numbers all mixed up. RH without exhaust is around 70-80%. I have a 65Pint dehumidifier, it should have no trouble bringing the humidity down to norm level.
