Very sad. I had forgotten, but hubby reminded me that we'd partied with them once at a hotel in Daytona Beach. (must have been some party!)

Will have to find those pics! RIP, Rock on eternal.

Its good to see that others like myself were so heavily affected by the murder of dime.

Pantera was a leader in the heavy metal genre - each musician was amazingly talented. Hands down my favorite recorded track they ever took was Domination at The Monsters Of Rock festival in 91 in Russia. Great recording that really shows the power of the band on a live stage but also how tight they were.

Dimebag

I was fortunate to see Damage Plan at the House of Blues in New Orleans on Halloween about 5 weeks before he was taken from us. I had the pleasure of a short interview a few Blacktooth Grins and the band autographed my shirt. He and Vinnie were just about as down to earth as a man could get. Dimebag was a virtuoso on his instrument. I gave Dime a shirt from the Alaska State Troopers K-9 Corp. I handed it to him and he was going to sign it and I said this is for you. He said "thats different people usually want things" As for the show it was pummeling. Get right on the stage and the pour Blacktooth Grins all night. Looked like baby birds waiting to be fed! LOL I miss him so. Along with

Was in Vegas this past week having Blacktooth Grin's with my buddies. Got to see Pantera 2x with these guys so we had to take the moment together to celebrate Dime's life since we wouldnt all be together on the anniversary..

Dime you are truly missed by your fans...

gotta love dime bag. he paved the way for alot of the extreme metal i listen to now. i love pantera always will. some of the best get drunk and stoned music i know... they are fun to jam to as well... i still havent met a guitarist that can do a perfect dimebag solo, ive been playing drums 11yrs, so that says alot about his ability.

fter the show he came out to talk with me and I handed him the shirt and he was going to sign it. I said "no dude that is a gift for you!" he said that is different people always want something from me. He and Vinnie Paul signed the shirt I had on and he put my shirt on immediately, It said "You can run, but you can't hide" and had a picture of a German Shepard
he really liked it and we proceeded to tear New Orleans up!! Drinks on Dimebag.

He could make a solid state amp do things they aren't supposed to do. At the age of 16 he was the baddest guitarist in Dallas.
