So finally, hopin things go as they do and the raids stop this winter, oregon should be next on the list for places to take the next step and go with dispensaires.

here's a link to voter power, the folks ragin for a 2010 oregon dispensary initiative: http://voterpower.org/

Initiative 28 sign up sheets:

What do folks think? Think there's enough support in oregon?

My guess is that if the raids stop, we can get it too pass. If they don't, well then shits fucked.

Any advice from the cali crowd... what to avoid, good shit, etc...

All mossbacks, sign your sheets, send em in and get all your buddies to do the same!

Its up to President elect Obama now

Its up to President elect Obama now

Obama is the one chosing the next US attorney general. So far, Obama has not kept one promise he's made to all the people he took for granted.

I read the initiative and it's not a bad idea but frankly not sure how far it's going to get. There is going to be a large and organized attack on the med provisions themselves in this next legislature backed and financed by big business. I think we'll be doing good to come out of the upcoming legislative session with as much as we have now.

The initiative language is good, in that it sets up a limited number of nonprofit dispensaries, profits go back to funding health programs and research, so it doesn't create the situation we currently see in Cali where anyone can set up a "dispensary", so it would avoid some of the problems we've seen there. On the other hand that means that the state would be involved to some degree and not sure how that would go over unless we get some real clarification that the feds are going to get out of bothering med patients.

I wish them luck, but I think we're going to have much bigger issues to deal with in day to day life next year, like keeping food on the table and a roof over our heads.
