That is the idea I think I'm going to shoot for. I don't really have a life and I'm creative, I think I could just pull that off.

Basement grower here. If your attic is like mine, you have about a 3x3 hole you have to climb through to get there. I agree it would be well hidden and easier to vent safely compared to basement, but like others have said, you have to get water up there and in the summer, it gets hot.

Yep that's it. 3x3 in a closet that you have be skinny to enter and look hard to find the closet, let alone find the 3x3 above the shelf that hides it. So the attic is a ultra stealthy idea. But I'm not going to lie, I feel kind of stupid right now, everyone seems to have much better ideas and ways of thinking than myself.

I know the Berlin wall isn't for everyone, but I'm thinking it's right up my ally. It might even become a bed room.

That is exactly what happened to me! haha. I have a bad ass room upstairs with exhaust and a sink built in, but it is well over 100F in the summer, and typically as cold as it is outside in the winter. I was banging a 1000w up there in the winter with 70f lights on and around 40f lights off! haha. I began to realize that it was too hard to control the outside elements (weather) and my heat signature must have been very noticeable if i were to be investigated. I have since built a sweet custom setup inside.

I would get a reader for temps and humidity and see for yourself a few days and choose

I would deffinitly run in the basement. In the winter you could hook up your exhaust into the ducting and heat your house. If its too cold at lights off maybe try a a large heat matt to heat your box.

yea basement I posted earlier but forgot that really basement even though you may need things to modify its environment ,
the basement period has a more consistent environment year round compared to an attic
but everything matters on what you plan to uise for light how many plants budget etc...
so you in the end will be the best judge , you can only get tips from others

even a room up stairs is hard to control, and everythings insulated. Basement is the answer. Get a 70 pint humidifier, use 1 k lights. Get that berlin wall thing and call it good. People keep talkin about stealth... but how many people do you have over that go into the basement? And better yet, just about everyone that grows becomes a hermit of some kind and gets paranoid... so no one will be in the house anyway.

For renters, the biggest concern is the landlord.
Landlord->>> Might go into the basement/Probably won't go into the attic, especially if it's padlocked.

I agree, temps are the biggest thing in an attic. I also agree that the Hornet's 250W Insulated Attic Cab (First Grow!) has many great ideas.
