ONA Liquid - How to apply to closet grow?

Well guys I ordered a gallon of ONA liquid, when I was going to do a larger grow.

I have scaled down and I currently have about 10 plants that have all just been switched over to 12/12 about one week ago.

They will start to have some odor very soon. I was wondering if anyone has setup a way to use the ONA liquid - I once read somewhere that you can use a bucket, with a small computer fan mounted horizontally in the top (extraction fan). It was on a larger scale, using a 5GAL bucket, do you think it would still be effective if it was scaled down?

Yep. The big or small bucket can be used. A computer fan may not be enough power for the set-up, but you need to combine the ONA liquid with Silver Pearl kitty litter and/or polymer crystals.

I have to say that I use the polymer crystals in other applications and the dang things never seem to dry out, so adding the ONA liquid with the polymer crystals should give you outstanding performance.

I'm going to pick up some polymer cyrstals. What size bucket do you reccomend, and also what type of fan, or what CFM fan do I need to make this work properly? Thanks very much!

You can use just about any tabletop fan. Just remove the base and you should be good to go. Cut the plastic lid on the bucket to fit the bloody beast and drill holes about 2" above the level of the material and then stand back, as it will kill the odors within a minute or two...

ONA works great. I like the fresh linen scent.

As mpd stated. Fit a fan in a bucket lid. Drill holes in the bucket, mine are about half way between the fan and the ONA/polymer cyrstals. Then mix approx. 1 part ONA to 6-10 parts water, stir, dump in your polymer cyrstals (a few packs of water jewels from Michaels craft store). Let them sit overnight to absorb. This set up works great. When it dries up just mix more ONA and water and add them to the bucket, it's ready to roll again when absorbed.

ONA works pretty well, but it's no sub. for extraction. I use both and use the bucket method described above except I have the air being pulled into the bucket where it mixes with the ONA and comes out the drilled holes on the side (almost like a very mini scrubber). Be prepared as it is a little intense when you first use it as it takes some getting used to.

I use Odor Killer gel for my veg room and it actually neutralizes the stink along with it's own natural smells. I usually put a small styro cup of it with holes poked around the top right by my passive intake and near my exhaust. I can't speak for flowering with ONA though, I wouldn't try it to tell you the truth... Maybe as supplementary odor control but yeah that's about it.

bought some today, daaaaaaaaaammnnn son! left it open in the car while i went inside the bank, came back and almost gagged. had to open all my doors and let it air out, which wasnt as humorous as it was suspicious in a bank parking lot with a new black president hemming the wheel and the terror alert at pink. no ma'am. but ona is some straight funk though, hahaha!

put the block inside the room, top off. came back in 20 and i could smell it down the hall with the door closed. little something i like to call progress ; ) but once upon waltzing into the room itself, overpowering. and even though that label maintains no toxic fumes, i bet money if a crackhead huffed some he'd be a one man unit space cadet. also read that it works like vaportek, in that it doesnt mask odors as so much neutralizes them. factor in that every ones primary complaint is they smell too strong, which they say can be easily remedied by putting the cap on and poking some holes. we'll see.

great, so if this funk works similar to vaportek, all you have to do is dial it in a little bit, i mean fuck, its just a odor block! poked 5 quarter inch holes in the lid, stationed it back in the room to stand sentry against the malicious and snitching odors. right. came back a few later, still waaaaaaaaayyy too strong. duct taped 3 holes shut, rinsed and repeated. b-i-n-g-o ; )

faint clean linen smell, definitely no evil odors lurking about. have to say goddamn! granted im still in veg, though ak stinks 24/7, till death does it part. but this newly established ona relationship is superficial, until my recently ordered vaportronic comes to daddy with its big disk capacity and generous, supple air flow over a curved, ebony white plastic shell.

2 ak's lst style bushes in 10 gallon containers. mg soil with gh lucas nutes.

just stumbled across the new ''ona pro''. leaves behind no odor, money back guarantee. i didnt see it when i copped my ona at the shop today, guess ill call tomorrow and see whats good.

wouldnt that be a pinnacle in growing? just buy a tub of odor nuetralising gel and odors no more.

also zep makes a product that can be used in buckets.the good part about zep.it can be purchased at home depot. I think it's 50 bucks for a gallon bottle.just add like ona.

For about $200 you can get yourself a blower and carbon scrubber which is really the only thing you should be getting. It is an investment, and probably one of(if not) the most important part of your grow.

Don't fuck around with odor...too fresh of a scent is just as suspicious as a skunky mj odor.

be wise, and invest some coin in a small but proper scrubber and fan. You will get your money back in the next few months anyway.

Unless you have a PC Case grow ONA should NEVER be used alone. ALWAYS USE A CARBON SCRUBBER IF ODOR IS AN ISSUE!!! I have CAN AIR carbon scrubbers in each of my cabinets PLUS a quart of Ona gel! TAKE NO CHANCES WITH ODOR!!!
