slight spider mite problem

i have a strawberry clone, a skunk clone, and 4 g-13 seedlings and 2 bc seedlings, i keep havling spidermites come back, not in great volume, i use the hotshot pest strip they all die and i have no problems but a few weeks later i notice slight damage to the leaves and sure enough there are a few of those bastards to be found around. i just want them to stay gone.....

I'm just starting my first grow so I don't have any personal experience with it but I remember reading good things about Doktor Doom Total Release Fogger being used during flowering.

Don't quote me on that - just something to possibly look into to.

I hate to tell you but there is no such thing as a "slight" spider mite problem.

You need to get the plants out(treat them) and disinfect that grow room from floor to ceiling. You may have to disinfect more of your house as well.

Spidermites are extemely hard to eradicate. You need to kill all stages of them, adults, larvae, eggs, etc. You don't get it all, they come back.

Good luck.

guys...im not in flowering yet and not for a good while. its a small closet veg area, and i have no mite problems in my flowering chamber, so i am going to get them out of the closet and disenfect it from top to bottom, but i know that they came in on a strawberry clone the breeder was a dick and said they were taken care of obviosly not, it is a slight ploblem, minimal leaf damage like only on the strawberry clones and no webs at all, so how do i treat them safely and how to disenfect the closet?

freaking bugs eat bugs so get sent some lady bugs from online OK SO they like water bloated rasins cut in half get a little bug thingy and give them a little tank to live in :dueling: :violin: :rasta:

azatrol i used to have mites pretty frequently but if you spray clones when they come in, then one more time before flowering you should have no problems

justanotherbozo brings up great points.
I'm a beleiver in doing what you have to.
ie. floramite
or avid.
But i am a proactive soldier on the front fo mite control.
I spray early and often, neem, organicide, pyrethrum oil.
this is not something you wait until you see sings to begin action. I take action in every stage and for no reason at all. Because usually once you seem them they are very well on their way to messing up your garden.
Just about everything he said is spot on.
I'd like to add that floramite has its limits, and so does avid.
Your number one priority should be cleanliness, proactive behavior, and keeping the environment at its correct levels. Those things alone will put you leg up.
Don't let other people in your room for obvious reasons but also because you don't know what they bring with them.

I used a pytethrum oil spray like you guys said and it burned the shit out of the ones grown from a seed and the ones from clone seem ok, are they gonna fucking die now, i mean shit if this was going to be the result i might as well have just left the mites to finish them off,

most likely u sprayed them and left them in the light resulting in burns. after a spray down u need to put the plants in the dark. if plants arent 24/0 then u need to spray right before lights off.

good luck

tried and tested.... 100% elimination

tried and tested, very good ,but struggles to completely eliminate if grow room isnt sealed

:2cents:

it doesnt matter at this point the seedlings have gone to totally burned and dead in a 3 day period, for some reason only te seedlings suffered severe burning the two clones who i might add were the source of the mites are doing fine????

Dont bullshit with the bugs man. I would just apply floramite one tme. It is one of the only sprays that kills eggs which is why they keep coming back in your garden. They never left in the first place. All of those neem sprays and other cheap sprays dont work for shit with spidermites. It just deters them for a bit thats all.
