Some Hindu at 40 days, just to keep things rolling on this thread

I grew these in a 1 gal square pot veged for 12 days in this silica rock medium and this is how they turned out... there all like, a foot and a half tall very compact! I grew this same strain in grow rocks with the same veg time and they stretched llike a b___h!

Somemore DC x SC I think I know now it's on day 41

Hopefully we can get some shots of the new strains Querkl, Jtr!

JTR...

JTR...

This is the JTR Week 7:

This plant was flowered from clone that I bought at bluesky.
Originally, this plant was introduced to 12/12 under 2x 125w warm CFLs.
After 4 weeks of flowering it was introduced to a 150w HPS for ripening...

This is the JTR Week 3:

Clone bought in same batch as above except vegetated for 4 weeks then
placed underneath my 2x 125w warm CFLs.

Edit *****************************************************

Some better bud shots you have to look closely but there is copious resin
production that covers not only the buds but most of my fan leaves as well.

JTR Looks to be a winner and my pics barely do justice, anyone else have any late flowering picks of JTR?

Sorry for the crappy pics, projected harvest is the 9th and pics will have much
less of an HPS glow!

JIMH4LPERT - You have any issues with Powdery Mildew on your JTR? Just wondering because somebody else posted that they had problems and I am in week 3 of flower. Just looking out.

Ya Bulldog I had problems with Powdery Mildew on my JTR's. One had it when I took it home from blue sky, tossed it, but later others showed signs of it. Watch out you guys...I tossed them :( and started over with some ak47 hope I can get a chance to grow JTR another time

I had a spidermite scare and i thought the leaves developed yellow spots from
it however this could have been powder under the HPS ill have to get back
to you in the current status but these are as recent as last night:

Plants are at 56 days and 28 days...
At 56 days this plant has yet to fill out, LONG white pistils were immediately
present however the buds have yet to really bulk out, so far this strain is
over 8 weeks in

There was definitely white powder on the leaves at some point, however mine
were never treated and are still going strong...

The leomonade is a great observation I love the smell! just couldnt put my
finger on it

From what i gather it LOVES light (hence the stretch poeple are noticing) and
it seems that my 150 HPS has the same effect as CFLs has had when i was
flowering under 46w CFL in my comp case. I dont know if i will be able to get
anything but airy buds flowering 6-8" from a 150w HPS any one get this plant
to really beef up yet? (if so post pics:joint:)

More to come as we approach week 9...

My JTR looks completely different. The biggest tops I've ever had. I'll give more info when its done. Slight pm but not as bad as the hindu skunks. AK was the worst for pm i've ever seen.

powdery mildew is alway around in the air but it thrives in the winter months. Intake should always be filtered. You can get a cheap filter at home depot. Its also a good idea to invest in a sulpher burner. You can get them from under $100. Small price to pay to never have to worry about powdery mildew and it helps keep spider mite populations down which makes them easier to kill.

:nono: Try and upgrade to at least a 400 watt, when using 150 watt on a Sativa Dominat plant its going to stretch in a bad way and yield poorly. And the Pm issue everyone is having is lack of Air Circulation..

I have a monster JTR that I used Bushmaster on, its going to be a freak of nature!!

Yes i certainly believe the 150w may not be doing the trick...

However my challenge is to get 4oz from a 150w, once i have mastered this
ratio i plan to upgrade to the 400... until then i guess you can say, "Im not worthy!"

No pm however i should mention i pull through a 2x2x3 area with a nice 4"
inline fan and my plants are swaying in the breeze from the exhaust fan alone

Its beginning to become apparent that there some factors (strains) that i have
not been considering to affect this yield either way my JTR "stretched" in a room w/
vertically hanging CFLs (250 'real' Watts) then moved to the 150HPS to ripen...

I am continuing to flower under the 150w literally each main cola is bent to about
6" away from my light I am hoping to get these babies to beef a little more

Anxious to see pictures of what this is supposed to look like because have 8
more now at 30 days flower and I am just wondering if I am wasting my time
(hopefully they will just ripen and fill out a bit later towards 75 days)

I am growing 12 JTR under 1200 watts (2 600's) with Soduim bulbs. They stretched major so I am not sure the lack of light is the only reason they have been stretching. My temps have been 65-75 day and 55-65 night, so that isn't the reason either. JTR just stretches.

have you considered fiming or super cropping or topping? curious how they will respond. Most plants respond well to super cropping. fiming or topping is more hit or miss.

CFLs&150 watters arent enough lumens to do the job on a tall ass plant, just a fact!

Bulldog- I felt i did a good job controlling stretch in my pics thanks for a
reassurance on the stretch!

darthVapor, i think supercrop can work well just nervous doing it @56 days, I plan
to do a little with my day 30 batch, of course i will post results down the line

Clark- I have to continue to have faith in my 150w... while is apparent that this
plant can be doing much better I have seen results from my LST and things are
beginning to become a bit more solid (they have a long way to go so ill call this 'hope')

Thanks for helping me determine my light shortage... I was in denial but
when imminent results are wating just behind this solid and affordable
investment, its stupid to overlook.
I did look into the 400w yesterday, but being the economic botanist i dindt
have too much to spend and then like an act of god a 4" inline went out...
need to replace this today screwing my budget (temporarily)...

jimh4lpert. You wouldnt happen to be in or around the s.f bay would you. I might have a 400 hps and a 1000 mh you could borrow. I might just give them to you when I upgrade. I also get great deals at d & s in oakland, really great deals. Let me know what your looking for and Ill see how cheap I can get it. good luck with your grow

BTW - I topped all my ladies when the fifth node is established, only once. I did try to super crop one plant but it healed with no visible signs of being super cropped...maybe i just don't get it.
