Hello everyone,
I have been away for awhile, i used to grow in a C24. So small scale is all ive done. A buddy of mine is letting me "rent" his spare bedroom for 4 oz's a month. And i just got accepted to a expensive school. So i'm trying my hand at a larger scale. Advice always accepted here
My goal is 12oz a month.
My veg table is 3' x 8'. Some of the space is a workbench. So over 6' of the table i will have a 400MH in the middle and 2 150HPS on each side. (4 total).
My Flower table is 3'x8' it will have a 600HPS on one end A 400MH in the middle and a 400Hps at the other end.

This is the Veg table

Not finished yet but its the flower table

And this is seedling and clone area (closet)

I'm growing in Peat, perlite, EWC and lime. and going to use PBP.
My plan is to have 12 plants every 2 weeks coming out of flower in one gallon pots. 48 total on the flower table.
The flower table is going to get a black/white poly wrap around it.
Thinking of using a 4'' inline fan to cool lights in flower, and a stanley blower for veg. And need to buy a 6'' fan filter combo to vent out flower area.

Hi bostrom,

Cab growing is awesome, and will have been time wisely spent! Growing in a cab forces you to deal with and confront many factors, because its such a micro climate. The knowledge you gain is invaluable. Expanding only gets easier. Sure, there are some things you will still confront and deal with (heat, humidity, ect) but you will exceed your expectations (and should) Aren't you the one with the stanley blower mod? I think so, that was very smart!

Also, congrats on being accepted to your school!

The only concern I have is the amount you are trying to get doesn't seem worth it. If you are already growing/have grown in a cab, then you can always continue to grow in a cab or add one for making it perpetual. 12 oz a month - 4 oz rent is only 8 oz. Thats a lb every 2 months. Not that much really, considering you take on much more risk dealing with a friend.

I take this all back if your friend is truly a friend. Just be forewarned you can't control your friends and his/her actions. Some people are just not meant for growing, it's crucial he/she knows the rules. Some people get drunk and like to blab, or use it to drop panties. Some people can't just be quiet and shut their mouths.

You have no idea how many times I hear about "grower stories" while chilling with people. Many times I barely know these people, or don't know them at all! You know who I am talking about, the ones who spout off all this garbage about growing ect. It takes a pro to sit there quiet and bite their tongue. Make sure this is your friend, that he/she is a pro.

That said, you know what you are doing. Setup looks great! Once dialed in, you can expect up to double your initial estimates. A pound per month can totally be doable. Now that would be more worth your time!

PBP is good stuff, don't forget the silica blast. Its amazing. Do you use beneficial bacteria?

Good Luck, hope this helps

id have 2 4x4 ebbnflow trays run by 2 1000w, pull a lb a month or so doing SOG.

Thanks for your response. Yea i did the stanley blower mod about 4 years ago, got the idea off OG. My buddy is ok, he ownes the house we ride together and he needs the money. I totally understand the privacy, but u are so right on who knows whats going on. I just cant wait to get the building part done.

I'm hoping for more than 12, but i was thinking about .5 oz per gallon plant. the more the better.
This is the flower table, did a little work on it today.

I'm converting a bedroom right now. I split the room in half and using about a 1/4 of it towards veg. the rest for preflower and flower. I'm only using 400's though. In retrospect, 2 600's would of saved me a couple reflectors and headaches....but too late now :)

Hey where exactly did you find that plastic table for the veg/clone area. I've seen that same table in the "i grow chronic" video and I've been looking for them ever since. No luck though, so I built my own. It seems like you got everything covered...good genetics, light, and once you get the ventilation set you should be ready to roll. Good luck!

Put a masterlock on the door, and you have the keys, and no one else.

Why don't you put the 600 in the middle of the 400's? or are you planning on having the plants finish flowering under the 600?

Can't wait to see the room cleaned out and everything setup, you could do a lot more with the space that you have, any plans on expanding it once you get a few harvests in?

Looks good, and good luck to you.

varnish or paint all the bare wood in there or you find fungus and moulds can get a hold

ditto all other posters re security, lock the door and remember that nobody can keep a secret.

just saw a larvae moving around in one of my cups. Fungus khat I think. Clear little work like. WTF maybe put a mosquito dunk in the water to kill them. Any ideas on what works.

i think an inch or two layer of sand or perlite on top of the soil will kill the gnats, easy on the watering..let the soil dry out before watering again.

Thanks Killabrown gonna try this today. Can't believe i already got them.
what about predators anyone ude those???

The table in the closet was found on the side of the road, so it was a freebie, i have seen them at Walmart too.

I'm putting on a door lock with key today (maybe)

Chaos..good point about the paint, i have thick plastic i was thinking of wrapping it with that..

Well I ordered my PBP Grow and bloom....also a 50 foot roll of black/white poly from HTGsupply to enclose the flower area. Just have not figured out the door thing yet..i was thinking 2-four foot doors. Also thinking of using foam board..

As far as upgrading..yea I'm thinking of getting 1000 MH or HPS for flower. looking on ebay now for a cheap one.

I would love to learn ebb and flow and the other stuff..was hoping to find some good clones and go and easier way

Also would like to throw this Question out..The flower room is basically 4x8x8..So i have a 4'' inline and was going to use that to cool the lights..and order a 6'' for the flower room and my Stanley blower for the veg lights...Any inputs

That should be plenty of airflow. I've been building a room pretty much identical to yours, wrapped with black poly and lined with mylar on the inside. The B&W poly would of been easier though...the mylar is a pain to hang and keep clean. Check my gallery for pics.

I'm going to be building my ebb and flow tables next week when the parts arrive. You can buy the tubs and pumps/tubing at lowes, just order the kit from htg. At my local lowes pumps were 50% off. Since your not going to be there all the time I highly recommend getting some sort of automated hydro setup.

i used 1 in pvc to make a frame inside the room and used poly to make a wall i had a door and a 25kbtu ac in there and exausted the ac with a 10 in vortex in my attic

it was really easy oh and i used conduit fastners bent in half to fasten the wall to the room walls easy break down in emergencys too

also i used weather stripping to seal the room and the bottom of the door had velcro it was almost airtight but i stoped using co2 cuz it was running out too fast
