Aloha foltzce. Thanks for peeping the show. To be honest with you I don't flush until the last week; I feed my girls a nutrient solution 100% of the time, from veg straight thru week 7 of flower.

Previous grows I had done a "sweet" flush with a mix of 25-50ml/g botanicare berry sweet...

However I have found that with coco a good 4-5 day flush with plain ole water ph'd to 5.8-6.0 is not only all you need, but better & "cleaner" as well. Plus I have to admit it is much easier to just have to fill the rez with water, PH it and I am done. Means I can then turn my attention to pruning some lower bud sights, or topping vegging plants, or rotating my moms so all sides get even light.... have I said a perperual garden requires a perpetual gardener?

Speaking of flushing.... we're 3 days deep into flush. DAY 52.

These plants are looking pretty off the chain to me. The Grape Romulan looks soooooooooo good.

but so does the Bubba Kush.... each of those buds is super dense. :woohoo:

and the SourDieselxSourBubba is my absolute favorite. She is LEGIT!

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, gather round gather round!
I would like to introduce you all to some new girls to Greyskull's garden:
FFA & Schrom! Its on bitches!

Of course that meant I had to trim the fat.... I HAD WAY TOO MANY PLANTLETS HANGING AROUND. So the GDP mom took a bus with misc little ones and ended up with a good friend in a part of town where she'll be the main attraction. C-YA!

I am almost at a point of satisfaction concering the genetics in my garden. I am another special plant or 2 away from having what I would consider a "full house"... and then its time to stop hunting for genetics and concentrate on growing each plant to its maximum potential. I want the people (and animals in some second hand smoke instances!) that smoke my buds to get the most relief possible out of each and every toke.

I just read this thread from start to finish. The perpetual in the title had previously deterred me, but I'm glad that I decided to give your thread a read. I grow on 2000 watts in coco as well. I like the style of grow you've got going on. Your girls look way better than mine, but I'm still on the learning curve. You have some amazing genetics, and you do extremely well with them. I'll be watching.

Hi everybody. Sorry for the delay in getting back to ya'll... Greyskull has been a busy dude taking care of bills and dealing with the trials of everyday life.

Hey DEDHEDFRED! Dude I think I might put the MTF on a back burner because of the responses I've gotten from my other girls. She yeilds heavy, but she just doesn't have as much eye popping trich coverage & stanky danky stink as the Grape Rom, Bubba & SDxSB. The BK & SDxSB are both slow grow + low yeild, but they produce the gnarliest buds. The GR puts out a little less yeild than the MTF, but has that special smell & look that sells itself. Dried, the Grape Rom smells and tastes like a slightly fermenting welch's grape drink. MMMMmmmm. All that said though, the MTF will still outyeild every other plant I have. And its a nice powerful stone that tastes smooth and always does the trick. I am so bummed, huh?

Mahalos for the kind words milo_xxx, bbing, whiskeytango420, RealSupreme, joesy whales, ooga booga, & icough2getoff. Its all about Canna in my garden. I love the stuff.

Hey Chacradog. I use the Boost in the rezies weeks 3-7. I start 2ml/G and work up to 5ml/G then bring it down to 2ml/G the last week I use it. Some growers don't notice a difference with it... I do, so I keep using it.

yo tobaaaac! Thanks for checking the whole thread out. I just asked the right people (the most successful ones!) what they were doing to get their results, and listened, and then did what they said (no matter how unorthodox)... and it works. Hey I am still on the learning curve, too. We are ALWAYS on the learning curve.

All the harvest is gone and out to market. Took 4.5 days to dry. I am very very very pleased with the way things turned out quality wise. I didn't get the yeild I was hoping for in the 1g pots. Close, but no cigar. BUMMER. I tried going more + smaller but I don't think I went with enough #'s to compensate for the small size when flowered. TOP SHELF RESULTS just low low yield. NEVER AGAIN WILLI USE THE SMALL + MORE APPROACH. Didn't work for me. Back to the bigger pots & plants, thank you very much.

The 3 bags of goods I brought to market were far better than the other 30+ strains that I was competing against. When I asked to check out shop a's Rom, they told me "yours is better" as they fetched me the jar. When I asked them about their Bubba they said "your's is fire compared to what we already have stocked." And the SDxSB - thats the OG killer. Upon first sniff you think OG... I love my SDxSB. If OG is Marisa Miller, the SDxSB is Adriana Lima.

NEhoo, that's whazzup for now.

Greyskull, I think your statement that we're always on the learning curve is one of the truest things that a grower could say.

NEVER AGAIN WILLI USE THE SMALL + MORE APPROACH.

yeah I hear you GS, kinda running a side by side right now to see how density and root volume predict yeild. The only confound is I am using the same nute reg but different mediums....

Was wondering...
I was browsing a CFL thread that was run with plastic cups and soil. This guy was stagering clone starts by veg time and making careful documentation of where optimal hieght was for each strain (for his set-up). This way he grew many strains in small volume containers that seemed to fill a perfectly spread canopy. I just couldn't argue the result, so it may be more of a strain preference issue i.e. some strains will produce more weight when crowded in dense space and some need a little more root mass to bracht count. I dunno.
just trippin.

Greyskull,
Great as always very nice looking plants. You think you do better with bigger plants and not many more shorter plants, like around a 100 per 4 x 8 bed opposed to say 30-40. I know the numbers are higher but not taking that in to account what are your thoughts. .

peace darko

I hear ya bbing. You know I was ripped apart thinking about what I could do to improve growig in the 1g containers - dudes are doing it all over and kicking ass. How - well, when they are only givin the girls 7-10 days veg they are packing 30-40 per 4x4... my dumb ass tried to be cool and only loaded the 4x4 with 16 1g containers. And wonder why I am sitting here going "awww man".

and this kinda ties into your Q donny darko (thanks for checking in btw... and thanks for the kind words, too!)...

Even though I have sworn I will never go small again I didn't really do it right (only 16 on a 4x4... I still feel retarded everytime I see that I did that)... so I am planning to do the next crop (not the 20 in 8"/2g I am bringing into flower in about an hour - which completely fills the table, but the one going in 2-3 weeks) as 36 6"/1g containers. I am sure I could pack more on there but I don't want to overcrowd/overload the 4x4... I went way to light # wise last time and I don't want to over compensate but going way overboard. I was trying to stay on the low end of the numbers which is why I was trying to get fewer plants bigger before triggering... but something tells me this stle (36+) may be more like the way to go. Maybe its the bubba kush talking to me... maybe its the sailor jerry rum n coke I am sipping on. All I was looking at the empty table thinking "improve" and the light bulb went off. kind of like how the "no smoking" sign goes off in an airplane - my "plant count" light went off in my garden. Lets see how more (really more!) smaller plants work!
EDIT: fuck I just revisted hunterwoundedft's 4k 8x8 w/196. I need to find out if he is topping those or if he is just growing them straight up.
OH AND I AM ADDING THE CO2 TONIGHT SO I AM THNKING NO MATTER WHAT MY YEILDS ARE GOING TO INCREASE AT LEAST 20% (that's an fair estimate, yes?)...

Will have some pics and greater detailed updates tomorrow sometime.

hrmm.... Do you think that you'll actually see the 20% in yield right in front of your face, or do you think that you'll see it over the course of the year? I see it debated whether actual bud matter is increased under a given set of conditions. It is my understanding that most growers agree that CO2 tightens node spacing during flowering stretch, improves bud density, and may produce beefier stems. Lucas also claims that it reduces the time to finish flowering significantly.

Also, how are you adding CO2 to your system. Are you going to seal your room and air condition, or are you going to integrate your CO2 with a climate controller that can turn your fans off? If you intend to air condition, do you think that the increased yield will be enough to offset the increased cost of buying all the expensive cali electricity to run the ac?
