4" or 6" PVC ok for ebb&flow?

People use 4"/6" pvc pipes for nft systems. Can the same be done with ebb and flow, with the pipes filled with hydroton?

yes for the 6" better than the 4. Look up the super simple ebb flow in the equipment forum you'll get an idea there on plumbing. You really dont even need them filled with Htrons, just flood more often. Just some in 3" net cups.

pvc is very brittle, at lest when compared to abs, so make sure your not putting structural weight on the pvc,use the abs for that.

Those clogged quickly for me. I had a large system built with those... waste of money

Buy the CHEAP Pvc pipes, but make them BIG, bigger the better. 10" would be even better.
