I will ad a UV cfl to my next grow and see what happens.

Just ease into exposure a few hours at a time until you see some signs of damage. (leaves curling and getting hard and shiny surfaces.) You can stunt your plants of you whack them during stretch.

4 hours a day of UVB seem to be the sweet spot for my Superbud strain. This batch comes down on Friday and has the most resin I have ever achieved with clones from that mom.

Hempy,

I have been following your UV CFL results and did I little digging. It seems you are running a 10% UV for 4hr. Do you feel one could use a lower 2% or maybe even 5% and run on the same 12/12. I'm also curious if it would be worth replacing 1 or 5 2700K. Do you feel it would be worth losing the light for the resin?

Looking good bro!! I think I'm going to get a UV CFL's to put in my cab I was going to go with a 70w HPS or a 150 CMH just not sure but I want to add it to my 6 42w CFL's so just 4 hours eh? Nice I think I'd just wire 1 socket to a time and have it on for 2hours twice a day do you think that would be good?

Yep, that is right.

I have more yield then I need for personal use, so I suppose it would reduce weight, but the quality is so much nicer it is worth it to me.

I have no data to tell for sure, but my guess is that it would not matter much if it were 1 hour 4 times a session or 4 straight. You are just trying to irritate the resin glands so that they produce that yummy sunscreen. :jump:

A week or two away from the next harvest, got a every 3 week rhythm going. It takes 2 weeks for my superbud moms to root out, then they get a week in soil to bolster their root systems. Then its off to the flower chamber..

Very Nice! Calyxes look great man! I really like the frosty photos from the UVB bulbs too! Great job Hempy!

mind if i pull up a chair?

one ? .. at the clone stage, when did you start nuting? and how much? i cannot remember if you had mentioned it, i can go back through .. i guess that is two questions ..

looking awesome hempy

I cloned in perlite with just water and rooting powder. Once the roots had grow out a bit, I popped them into my soil with the standard Dr. BudGreengenes nute mix + molassas. They get the same nute mix and strength until just before flower when they get 2 weeks water for a flush.

Hey question for you. I have built my box wit cfls just like dr bud and am wondering from you and several others ( I noticed a few others using cfls are tyring different lighting now), how do you find growing with cfl? Is it worth it? I am just about to start my new grow using this type of set up.

Also what happened to dr.bud?

god5hand...yea bro..cfls are more than worth it..look at the numerous amount of members here pullin some very, very dank nugs using them.. the pictures here speak for themselves so go ahead give em a try and see how they do for you..and also drbud is no longer here :badday:

Totally. CFL has delivered for me on every level. Quantity, taste, heat/fire hazard, stealth, simplicity. For the small personal grow I think a CFL setup will suit you fine.

Dr Bud has moved on to the bubbleman's hideout. They made him an admin, so he will be able to moderate his own threads there.

CFL NUGZ.....
