Who knows about JEDI's Lineage...?

Jedi is superfruit!

Jedi is superfruit!

I heard it was a pheno of, i think, Dutch Passion's Skywalker. I don't know for sure if that is correct that is just rumor, but I do know that the Jedi is definitely in my top 5 all-time. To me it seems to have some sort of blueberry lineage or something, with some other hashy/fruity aromas, whatever it is it sure is dank :rasta: When done well it rivals most anything out there IMHO of course.

It seems you guys are talking about different jedi, than I am aware of and which been going around in my neck of woods for years :chin:

Jedi I am familiar with, is a semi stabilized hybrid for Finnish outdoor condition.. I have never growed it myself, but all the Finnish Jedi bud´s I have received through years always has that familiar coffee odor & flavor trait and is quite powerfull smoke at least when growed outdoors, the indoor sample´s of it have never impressed me however :chin:

Im quite sure you guys got different Jedi genetics in states than we have in Finland unless it has that coffee scent into it?

"Our" Jedi has been around for at least decade(´s), I smoked it first time in early 90´s and I was very impressed that something like that was the product of Finnish growers  Last time I smoked Jedi was two summers ago and it lacked in potency wise (was growed indoors), but had the same infallible coffee scent & looks than the the very first sample I acquired with my buddies back in early 90´s!

The one we have is very indica dominant, but there is sativa in it also, depending phenowise.. Btw, sometimes it´s called "coffee bud" over here because of the intense coffee scent & flavor (if growed & flushed & dryed/cured correctly) + outdoor Jedi nugs are almost always brown after dry :D

The coffee flavor only is there if the grower knows what he/she is doing, if it hasnt flushed & cured properly it doesnt have the coffee flavor which I love, but it still surely have the coffee scent!

That´s my :2cents: for the topic, however I think my post is offtopic because we are most likely talking about different strains....

Peace!!!

EDIT: Btw.. Really delicious looking Highend nug you got there stasis :yummy:

Jedi is super viney and low yeilding..
Delightful smoke that's super frosty and tasty.

The Jedi that I had for a couple runs is the NL x BB version. It was a clone passed around I wish I had it back. It grew a large powerful plant that made real dense stanked out buds of heavy indica meds. I remember beign surprised how well it yielded and how awesome the smoke is. I still have a jarful curing up and the smell reminds me of airborne G13. Kinda heavy orange rinewith skunks piss poured all over it. It was a clone I neglected to get any pictures of.
Jedi worth it....? You bet....!

Chile,I have that same stinky potent Jedi. Not viney at all. Heavy nugs that are prone to mold in high humidity areas.

That sounds like schwag  lol

I have never seen outdoor jedi in the states/cali but judging by the looks and especially smell of the indoor product that would have to be a different strain all together, no coffee thats for sure, straight skunky/fruity/hashy dankness. This Jedi, I believe, is local to southern california.

Jedi worth it....? You bet....!

Yes it is! :joint:

For a previous poster.. Have you ever seen a nug dryed & cured properly?

-> get´s fermented -> dark brown/purple shades not with all strains, but however, get darker look on them after properly curing.

I've been running jedi for a couple of years. NL x blueberry makes sense, I would say it's a nice balance of both. Vigorous, heavy yielder of killer buds.

Wow those do look very well yeilding.

The one I tried was grown by the club owner that I went to for a bit in Santa Barbara, I could be wrong about being the real Jedi bc their chem strains such as Headband, OG, Sour Diesel, and Chem were all off. Instread of that heavy chem piney/cleaner diesel smell in each, they all had a similar almost sweet smell that had a tangy bite to it... def not the norm but tastey and potent in their own right. Funny thing is despite the father of each or whatever gave each that sweet smell that replaced the chem smell, they were all the right genetics otherwise. Like the sour diesel was big brach'd with had dark green leaves and resembled the Mass Super Skunk. The Headband had that apple kinda fruity after taste and looked like headband and the og had the same lime/kushy bite to it.... interesting

but yea sorry for the rant, I tried his cut after both grows he did and the plant was tiny like the Bubba cut i gave him... except had more 3 leaf traits that had leaves kinda similar to yours re the sharp prickly serration and the skinny ends and fat leaves.

It was a pungent fruity stink smell with a mean acrid underbite. Tasted great in joints with a good head that transferred nicely to the body.

thanks for the clarification... am gonna have to try the one yall have someday

cheers

Mr. Mota,

Holy smokes, i had heard that Jedi was a good yielder but that looks like it's definitely an above average yielder :rasta: Is the Jedi available from med sources in so-cal?

Herbal,

i was just joking around. And yes I have seen my share of properly grown and more imortantly properly cured herb and to be honest with you unless it is from Mexico it is not brown or even close, however, I do see really good outdoor from all over that is purple, like some nice outdoor GDP etc... In all liklihood the Finnish strain you are talking about is not the so-cal jedi cut, just check out Mota's pics. purple or brown; IMHO there's a big difference.

Anyway the Jedi I know about here is really nice and Mota's pics just confirmed for me the need to track that cut down.

Peace, JB

Nice to see this thread Jah Brenz

If anyone else has pictures of some Jedi they'd be appreciated. I never saw any large jedi nuggets, but they were always super tasty and frosted. I'd heard that it didn't yield much but that was never my issue.

I asked about it earlier but didn't get any response but yours about the possible relation between the Jedi and the Jah.

Very Nice pics Rolando. Tasty

As for the curing thing. I've got some Lavender that's been curing in a mason jar, dark place, 8 months. It's definitely lost the green clorophyll color and taken on a golden color. Not brown but golden. Tastes excellent, but not everyone has the luxury of waiting that long. Always fun to compare the fresh vs the extensively cured.

Thanks, yeah she is a beaut.

Jahbrenz - I've seen a few other posts about her so she seems to be around, but I'm up in Oregon so I don't know about so-cal.

I'm having flashbacks off your Jedi. I wish I could upload some pics myself but no can do. I was also told it was BBxNL but to me it has no blueberry taste at all more of a juice fruit gum smell and taste.
