I'd be carful how close to the canopy I get with a 1000w. Hammerhead, you can put your light closer thanks to your cooltube. GF does not have one and IMO 8"-12" could cause heat/hot spot problems.

yea. the closest i can get with my light without having problems is 15" anything closer and the temps jump. at 15" my temp is always at 25.5C. i think that should be fine. my space is only 3x3 anyways.
also i havn't got the nutes for flower yet, and im gonna switch from optimum.
these are my options now since i found a shop carrying them.
- bio-bloom
- B’cuzz Bio-NRG Bloom-C
- Flora Nova Bloom

also thinking about getting some supplements like big bud and those kinda things.
do these things really work? would i get a better yeild? more potent buds?

I'd get the flora nova. As far as additives go, it seems like alot of them just take your money. Less is more as far as I'm concerned.

done and done! i got the flora-nova today along with liquid kool bloom! hopefully things work out nice.
and for a quick update, im lucky enough to get 4 females so far.... hopefully my last 2 are also female.

For some reason the Lowryder is growing at the same rate as the Afghans if not slower?? not sure why. it's still tiny and i have to elevate it so the canopy is the same, but yea, shouldn't it be nicely budded by now?

I wonder around how much i might get in yeild from these.... 1000W 3 plants n a lowryder? anyone have any good guesstimates?

I know, the lowryder is really tripping me out, i started to think that maybe it was just a normal seed and it's small like that because of the pot it's in? but the seeds came in the white Lowryder package that looks like a razor. oh well. let's see what happens.

ok so it's day 24 of 12/12 and this is what it looks like. alot of pics i know, but hopefully you guys enjoy... i think im doing okay in regards to the grow, but a second opinion and few 2cents would go along way... lol

is this too tall? i just vegged for 4 and a half weeks till it was almost 2 feet then put them into 12/12... wanted to veg longer cuz only 4 plants (3 afghans + 1 lowryder)

I put a 150w floro at the bottom of the plants so that lower branches and leaves get light. is this any help? I've been doing that since i put them into flower.

Looks like those Afghans stretched a bit, but have good lower growth. Gettin cottonmouth just thinking about how they'll cure & smoke. As a noob, I find the hardest part is just being patient, but your potential payoff motivates me. Thanks...

I've tried gravity 4 times. Twice it was kick ass, and twice it really f**ked up my plants. YMMV. I used 1/2 strength last time and that made a big difference.

SO i consider myself to be fairly observant, but how blind was i to miss this GREAT grow! I love your little set up. Simple, yet effective! You got two BEAUTIFUL plants and a nice little bitch! (the low ryder ) Anyways, I like seeing you use one container as i've thought about it for several reasons.... anyways, I'll post some pics here soon of my grow, we are about one month into my first ghetto ass rigged grow, about to switch to 12/12 and try to weed out the males!!!

Murphle - Thanks for the heads up. I've decided not to use gravity afterall, since it's my first grow with afghans... I rather see them grow it out first normally, then the next run I'm gonna go with all that craziness... purple maxx, gravity.

Luckygreenhand - Lol, you prob missed my thread cuz of the title that has nothing to do with plants, but the fact that I finnally got a camera to take pics of the plants. lol, it went from no camera, to camera phone, to a cheap digi, to an olympus 8 Mega Pixil cam.... all i need now is and SLR with some macro.
anyways, THANKS ALOT homie, and the single container makes life easier for me i guess. Only stress i had was yanking the males out, and rotating...but it wasn't that much stress after i developed new techniques. also with a container this big i don't really have to worry about over watering and the plants get more than enough space for roots. my plants are about 4-4.5feet each, the SlowRyder about a foot n a half.
I can't wait to see your girls LuckyGH... AND GHETTO GROWS ARE THE WAY TO GO, hahaha... well atleast when we can't get all the finest equipment with our budgets.

From the way it looks im guessin i should be getting around a half P. Which i'm satisfied with.... the more the merrier of course, but im hoping on a half.
