My SOL 2000 Shiskaberry makes wonderful crosses with everything it is crossed with. This plant on its last weeks of life, is a cross of shisk and my old 94 Tally Grape strain used in my Grunk cross.
This plant has sublime flavors ranging from peaty, musky ,earthy ,spicy hash brought to the mix from the dominent Shisk mother with very bold Grapey tones from the Grape father.
I seeded it with a very nice resiny Strawberry Diesel Male to see what will unfold

And of course the mother of them all
My favorit all around plant for breeding, the original SOL shisk clone.
I plan to back cross to this original with a good father\shisk cross and hopefull I can stabilize these awesome traights this plant carries on through breeding. Maybe a nice Shisk backcross for Freebee donations on the bay.
To give back a little something to the bay which has given me much.

Peace

Thanks
I kept this shisk pheno because it was so special.
I had four differnt phenos back in 2000 and all were killer but this one was my personal keeper Bomb.
One pheno out of ten had a very fruity blueberry smell and taste. That cut is still floating around Tally and was named Sticky Fruit by somebody else.
Another pheno had a very tropical fruit taste with floral tones ,this one is still grown by a freind who calls it Fruit Punch.
The Shisk pheno that I kept and love has more Afgan influences with very bold dank hashy kushy musky peaty earthyness in the bouquet which does transition to taste 100%.

Thanks,
Actually the Grunk was created in 96 by crossing my Tally Grape originaly an old Purple Kush strain from the University of Washington in Seattle which I brought to Florida in 94.
The grunk was made by crossing "Chads" powerful sensi seeds super skunk cut which has been floating around Tally since 92.
Many from the old Tally crew still grow these cuts.
The Tally scene used to be a tight nit group in the 90s .
Tallahassee has since become one of the many front lines for The Drug War and all has changed as of late.
Yes the Grape and the Grunk are my designs.

I plant most everything in the ground.
If I start my plants after Oct the yield is usualy on the low side but the smoke is killer and I usually get awesome foliag color changes .
No one is hovering over head in search and the foot traffic is lower during the fall winter spring months.
It is great being able to grow outdoors all year long.
Peace

I usualy prepare my holes well before I plant.

I amend and dig into these holes many organic ferts like Alfalfa ,bone, kelp, crab, shell, blood meal, greensand, rock phos,Gaunos, castings,endo-ecno micros and my own home made compost soils mixed with promix and then mixed with the rich native top toils in the area.
I apply lime well ahead of planting depending on the soil Ph in the particular area and the plant types to be planted.

After doing this for so many years I have a very well thought out schedule that I utilize all year round because the seasons this far south permit me too.

I start everything in doors, moving them out at three to four weeks depending on time of year.
Outdoor smoke is superior to indoor smoke in my opinion, especially when grown with the utmost attention to detail. Natural, fast soluble and slow soluble organic ferts and micros and of course a proper flush ARE ALSO VERY IMPORTANT TO A tASTY SMOOTH POTENT PRODUCT.
