LowRyding with Afghans

So im 30days into 12/12 and these are how my girls look... Only weird thing is that the lowryder has been growing at the same pace as the afghans... shouldn't they have been done by now?

looks fine to me. only reason I can think of the lowryder would be going slower is cause its being on only 12 12 instead of 24 hours of hps like it can take.

teddybud - that could be true, I was doing some more research on the lowryder strain and yea... most people do run it 24hours the whole life cycle, I on the other hand treated it like the others. 18/6 then 12/12... could have slowed down the growth

mexilandrace - thanks. oh yea,i think 1000w hps is the typical light used for budding... more light more bud? i dunno lol, i hope so...
oh yea my temps are 26-27C Lights on, 16-17C Lights off.

lowryder produces more at 18 hrs light then at 12 hrs light

chuckyoufarley- i would put it under 18/6 the whole cycle if i could but the only way i could do that is if i used the 150w floro, but thought that the buds would be more dense and yield more from the 1000w in 12/12.... not to sure, but I currently use the 150w floro to light the lower parts of all the plants.

nah I was high as hell earlier and thought it was a 12/12 from seed grow

i misunderstood what I was looking at

with 1000 watts prolly wasting time with 150 watt side lighting

mexilandrace - haha thats koo. im high right now. so your thinking the 150w floro lighting the lower parts might be a waste? i don't really know if it helps or not really... it's just dark so use it so it's lit, give me peace of mind i guess.

does anyone know if this is any use? i don't really wanna be killin another 150watts for no reason. thanks

I just leave the light at the base and it lights about a feet and a half up from the soil and kinda meets the light of the 1000w.

here's some updated pics and some showing how the lights interact. i think it makes a difference but who knows, its still my first grow.

looking at how the light shines through it may be helping the little popcorn buds out on the bottom.

If it was me I wouldn't do it, but peace of mind is worth it, if it helps you.
