How many DWC buckets for a 400 hps?

How many of those 5 gallon bucket dwc can i put under a 400 hps light? I was thinking 4 would be good. Thanks for your advice. peace

Oh, and maybe i was thinking just 2 buckets and grow bigger plants for same yield? And does the water in the buckets dry out fast? If i fill it with water will it last for more than a week? Thanks again, late.

i grow under 1k's an prefer to grow big plants...i usually only do 4-6 per k..if you wanted to do big plant/s i would run1 under a scrog..just my 2cents....in flower i have to add water everyday to everother day depending on heat an size of plants.....peace az

I also grow under 1k and currently have 6 what kinda yield are you pullin

depending on the plants size an type before going into flower i will hit 3-8 oz's dry...

You will achieve great growth with the buckets, so if you are confident in your skills one female will be more than enough. The problem with only one is you have nothing to back up on incase something goes wrong. Another plant or two would be there just incase anything crazy happened. More of a buffer so to speak. Just veg and train them accordingly to your space and light output.

4's about the max (not that hurts to have others around the edge if you have extra) And no, they will not make it 1 week without refills.

I grow two large (LST) plants in 5gal DWC, but they are growing a little outside of the light's footprint (I use a cooltube) in my 4ft x 2ft area.
