I use a fan in my drying area, but not until day 2.5.
At that time I have the fan blowing against the opposite wall the buds are are to gentle stir the air. My typical drying environment is 75f 45rh.... dry in 3.5-4 days. buds are trimmed before they are hung.

whatever you do do not point the fan directly on the plants that airflow will dry the buds to quick and they won;t have time to purge the chloryphyl enough IMO.

Measure the humidity in the room with no fan. Then add a fan and measure the humidity again.... :rasta:

I agree. Use a fan if humidity is high. The opposite wall advice was good advice! So, seeing that it would depend on your current environment I can't say yes or no to the pole; high humidity yes, low humidity no...........RD

Yes. I have lines running wall to wall with the plants hanging down to 18" - 20" or so above the floor. I just have 1 12" oscillating fan on low to create a current. Nothing directly on the buds.

thx guy's..... i know how i do it :) and i use one foe circulation...

just had a buddy in hiz first year growing i was telling him too use one and hiz other buddy was telling him not to.....

it's pooring rain humidity is about 60/70+ with or with out a fan....

what i have told him to do is open the window a lil bit run the fan and open the door too the room he has a wood stove to heat the house ( cant not use ) this room being used is the back of the house so the air run's in then out the air that make's it to the room is cooled to about 75 and 50% hum be for it gets there if we seal the room hum will just jump higher 80-90% and it get super cold 40-50 deg's...

what he needs is a dehu and a space heater then seal the room

table fans blowing air anywhere but at the buds
circulation is the key to even humidity
then a small dehuey running continuous on low (55%rH) after 3-4 days
with an ambient humidity that high (70%) i might run the dehuey a little sooner

Same as Humble1. I have an oscillating fan facing opposite of the buds set to low.

*should have looked at thread date...old thread. :tumbleweed: Bubba is resurrecting old threads to boost his count.

Yes I use an oscillating fan or two, and a pair of dehueys in my room for drying, but my ambient RH is usually around 70 so it's necessary. A long and proper cure is best for converting chlorophylls and CBN/CBD into THC (carboxylization.) Some strains take 1-2 weeks, some take 4-6. Depends on the strain.

Agreed I like air movement but not near the drying bud
