propane heaters give off co2 you could use that for 25 mins and THEN turn it off.. little electric fan heater??

If your dropping below a 10 d celsius swing just add a small heater to keep things balanced..

ok so get a heater on a thermostat to keep temps above 60. But how about the water in the reservoir. How cold is too cold for the water? What is the ideal temperature of water?

67 is ideal, if you control your ambeint temps your rez should be OK.. if not add a sh heater and keep it above 65

whats up guys? i used a propane heater last winter to heat my room and it almost killed my plants, not from the heat either, i got that perfect. it was the gas fumes, the "co2" vapors, have a bunch of other kind of shit too apperntly, funny smell and all. plants hated it after the first night! i used propane for a grill, dont know if thats inferior to other sources or not, not sure if there are other sources actualy.

My Gen-1 CO2 generator is a propane heater. It works wonders, though this winter I am enriching with a denser hydrocarbon. C10H22 vs the ol C3H8 ... Kerosene. I have about 5 ton worth of CO2 stored out back in some drums, just got to release it real slowly over the next few months. A PPM-3 and an open window and things are in check.

Dankaholic: Perhaps you over-enriched them?

idk, it was a pretty small room, but even with venting and everything, i tried to make it work. shit, i thought it was a genius idea when i thought about. heat and co2, just what i needed, ya know? big no go tho.

Sorry to hear that man, really. It is/was a genius idea. I have been doing about the same thing for a while with positive results. I have even been advocating it on here and to others. Wow. I have noticed that if I let it go and don't keep an eye on the PPMs that it can get over 2000, I've seen it up to 2200. I have also read that over 2000 is bad for plants, 5000 for people.

I guess for the sake of the MJ I have to go with the pack and say an electric heater for the original question. Unless you have the luxury of being able to monitor and adjust your O2/CO2 levels play it safe and burn watts not fossil fuels, make the electric company do that somewhere else.
