hey upNORTH I hope you got your camera into the show, as far as I know I was the only one (w/the exception of 'press' or 'publicity' photogs) allowed into the theatre with a real camera bro, all the rest were either cell phone cams or some of the disposables. I was stopped by security in the lobby with my big HP, they tried turning me around to put it in the car but I stood my ground politely, I was told in advance that I'd be allowed to bring my camera (not as a special favor to me, but just by me asking the right person in the front office) so then I was met by Steve from ASIA Security, he examined my HP camera & determined it had video capabilites so it was a no-go. I plead my case and dropped a local promoters name, as it happened Steve knew this promoter 'JT' and quizzed me about him a bit, after answering his Q's he treated me like family and let me keep the camera with my assurance of taking pics only & NO flash, now that made it tough because even though I was in the third row no flash meant that I needed the subjects to be standing rather still. The motion or bluriness you see in these shots was unavoidable w/o using my flash. I took over 160 pics & got maybe 35 or so good ones.upNORTH said:
